Abstract
Electricity is one of the greatest inventions of human which makes an impactful change in
technology. Electricity is essential component to modern technology. Many countries across globe
are facing shortage of electricity during peak times. Still in some countries many people living their
lives in dark. It's better to reduce the consumption of electricity rather than producing with
expensive methods. To reduce consumption of electricity, LED technology is one of the effective
and globally accepted technologies. The major consumption of electricity is due to lighting
equipment, LED technology in lighting system can reduce the consumption of electricity. LED
technology in lighting system can gives the great efficiency with lower power consumption.

The Benefits Of Solar Energy
Scientists around the world have confirmed that the world's fossil fuel resources are being depleted
at an alarmingly fast rate and could be gone within the next 50 to 80 years("The End Of Fossil
Fuels"). On the other hand solar energy is clean, unlimited, and most importantly it is becoming
cheaper, making it equally or even less expensive than burning fossil fuels in the long term to
generate electricity. The United States government should increase funding of the renewable energy
program mainly focusing on solar energy since it is an environmentally friendly, unlimited, and
cheap form of generating electricity. Furthermore, investing in solar would be an economically
beneficial investment for both the individual and the rest of the country. First solar energy is
environmentally friendly because it produces substantially smaller amount of carbon dioxide than
burning fossil fuels. Burning coal emits between 1.4 and 3.6 pounds of carbon dioxide per kilowatt
hour while solar only emits 0.07 to 0.2 pounds of carbon dioxide per kilowatt hour("Benefits of
Renewable Energy Use"). Since solar panels release almost no carbon dioxide into the atmosphere,
switching to solar energy will substantially reduce global warming. Also mining for coal or drilling
for oil can severely damage the surrounding environment by contaminating water supplies,

process steam, heating or other industrial purposes. Conventional electricity generation is about
30% efficient, whereas combined heat and power (also called co–generation) converts up to 90

Today in our modern society, us humans take a variety of things for granted. One particularly, goes
unnoticed. One, which we cannot live without, and one which changed our lives forever.
ELECTRICITY. Electricity exists in a metropolis city, to aircrafts in the air to every remote corner
on our earth. During the 1800s, British scientist Michael Faraday discovered the fundamentals of
generating electricity. His method, which is movement of a loop of wire between the poles of a

It is the energy comes from natural resources like sun light, wind, rain water and geothermal heat.

I choose the water cycle because water is a basic necessity of life and every human in the world will
have an impact on it one way or the other. From the moments we wake up through the activities of
the day right to when we go to sleep, water plays a major role in all that we do. Imagining a life
without water is kind of unimaginable. Water has been around long before I was born so it's difficult
to imagine what life will be like without it. Since water is more of a public good, we tend to take it
for granted just like the air we breathe.
I use water for almost everything; I use water for brushing my teeth, taking my bath, washing the
plates, laundry, flushing the toilet, bathing my dog (Optimus), cooking and for my friends who
swim, without water they wouldn't get that privilege to dive into the pool.
This water which I get to use to do all these activities goes through a cycle before getting to me the
final consumer. From natural processes such as evaporation, sublimation, condensation and
precipitation. The water from the Ghana Water Company (which is the institution that treats and
distributes water to various homes) goes through various processes before flowing through the taps
in the kitchen and bathroom.
Each time I drive my father's car from the house without using public transport, I contribute to the
build–up of greenhouse gasses which the old car emits.
The electricity I use at home to charge my phone and laptop, to power the fridge, to iron my shirt, to
heat food in the microwave all comes from the electricity from the national dam which powers the
entire country. So anytime my use of electricity increases, more water is needed to meet the growing
load needed to meet demand.
Most items we buy from the markets and shopping centres are produced in factories where water is
used somewhere in the production line. The pollution from these factories and multimillion dollar
industries leaves a huge adverse impact on the water cycle such as the rain acid condition which
destroys plants and reduces their ability to aid in the evaporation process. Also toxic chemicals from

cost efficient and reliable, coal is becoming more and more available as geologists are finding coal
