Drew Brees wrote this book after winning his first Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints. Throughout his career, Brees has faced adversity such as being doubted after a shoulder injury and losing his coach during a playoff run, but he continues to work hard and lead his team to victory with determination and courage. The book details Brees' journey from college football to the NFL and winning the Super Bowl with the Saints.

The battles he faces
• Throughout the book Drew Brees faces many problems.
• For example, Drew Brees was born with a birthmark on his face. He would often
get teased for it. He was told by doctors that it may cause cancer and he had an
option to remove but he said he didn’t want to because he wanted to be different
in his own way. He still gets it checked once a month.
• When he was on the San Diego Chargers he dislocated his shoulder and was
told he may never throw the football again.
• Fortunately he got past that but now the problem was since the Chargers gave
up on him he needed a new team. That new team was the New Orleans Saints.
• During the playoffs in 2009, Drew Brees mom passed away. This was a huge set
back because the Saints were on a winning streak with Brees leading them.
• He managed to get past that and bring the Saints to their first Super Bowl ever
and won.
• Now in 2012 his coach Sean Payton got suspended for the Bounty Program.
• The Bounty Program is players getting paid extra money to hurt other players.
• Even though Payton didn’t pay anyone of the players he was suspected of
knowing about it so was suspended for the whole year.
• With Payton out to coach Drew Brees is practically playing and coaching a team
at the same time.
