HERE’S AN overview of WHAT WE WILL COVER TODAY:
Getting Started: You have the steps listed here to follow in TRACS in order to get started on a new reading list.
Your decisions here are based on how you normally develop your class site
The next few slides will be showing how to add the tool using Lessons.
I may be able to gather information from you all here to determine the best way to approach the classes you support. While I understand you typically like to link to the article, Reading List Builder will just change the way you develop the lesson.

This is the search page for the Reading List tool. Now you can search by topic, article title, book title, etc.
This is what search results will look like. To add to your Reading List, click the blue “Add to Reading List” button. It’ll change to a red “Remove from Reading List” and can be clicked again if you change your mind and decide to remove it from your Reading List. Results can be limited on the left by Source Type, for example to only see Academic Journals only. Results of articles can also be limited to Scholarly/Peer Reviewed. Once you’re done working on your Reading List, click the “See Current Reading List” linked text at the top to begin organizing your list of citations.
Next you’ll see any citations you clicked blue Add to Reading List button. You can place your cursor in the grey bar above each citation to drag & drop each one into any order you’d like. If you change your mind about any citations in this list, there is also a Delete button on the right of each citation. Add Folder is a feature you can use to create folders to organize readings/citations.
Folders will generate in a list as they are created. The Move to Folder option will also now display to help sort articles into their respective folders.
