 260 children attend the school where I am employed. We have 15 I pads
that all classes must share this is done via a rota system. There are two
smart and one interactive white board in the infant department. Beebots
and talking tins are occasionally used to support learning. There are seven
Pc’s, although only four of which work reliably, this is because the
computers we have are old and some of them have been donated to us
by other schools.
 I work as a Learning Support Officer within a reception class (children aged
4-5) in a English medium primary school.
 I intend to use a software programme called 2simple 2paint a picture to
support learning for a Knowledge and Understanding of the World focused
activity. I intend to carry out the activity with nine Reception children who
are at present working towards outcomes suitable to their chronological
age according to Foundation Phase Guidelines.
 By the end of the activity I hope that the children will be able to briefly talk
about famous men and women and events from the past .(outcome 3,
Bridgend county Borough Council (BCBC) Skills ladder) As this is a new skill
and has not been introduced before the teacher has informed me that the
children are not expected to meet this outcome. This skill will be developed
over the next term. I hope that ICT will support the children in designing and
creating a fabric using appropriate software.
 During the following weeks enhanced provision I intend to display the
children's work and provide information based on what the children can
remember about the famous woman from the past - Laura Ashley.
