Employers applying for Learnership grant must
provide proof of an agreement with an accredited
training provider to conduct training for learners;
The appointed Training Provider/FET College must
have full programme approval and accreditation at
the time of application as no negotiations will be
entered into after receipt of application. Provider
accreditation and programme approval must cover
the duration of the Learnership programme;

Training Providers and other skills development
intermediaries are not eligible to apply for this
current rollout; only employers who own
suitable workplaces qualify;
Applications must have relevance to the
organizations training and development needs as
outlined in their Workplace Skills Plans;

A Learnership Implementation Plan must be
submitted with the application documents; (see
section 5 in the Application Form for more details);
At least 70% verifiable learner placement
information for previous Learnership
implementation must be provided in the application;

The Field Ranger Learnership aims to train 50
youth on the Conservation Resource Guardianship
programme. On completion of the programme the
learners will be equipped with necessary skills to
fight the scourge of wildlife game reserve of which
has become the national and international priority.

The Coastline Environment Monitoring
Learnership intends to train 30 youth on the
National Certificate in Conservation Resource
Guardianship programme. There is a need to
enhance the status of the Blue Flag beaches. The

Incomplete applications will disqualify the applicant
immediately without recourse;
Implementation plan to be submitted must address the
roll-out as indicated in section 7 of the Application Form;
Preference will be given to employers using FET Colleges
All applications must reach CATHSSETA before or on 20
July 2012 at 16h00. Applications received after this
deadline will not be considered.
