CHARLESTOWN — Lila Delman Real Estate International assisted in closing the sale on Friday of
the 5.49-acre High Point estate on Ninigret Pond in Charlestown. The price for the property at 89B
S. Arnolda Road was $4,025,000, Delman reported. Lori Joyal, managing broker of Lila Delman Real
Estate International’s Watch Hill office, represented the sellers. Delman said that the transaction was
the highest priced in Charlestown since January 2008, according to data from the Rhode Island
State-Wide Multiple Listing Service.
The 5,424-square-foot residence, constructed about 1920 and thoroughly renovated, has four
bedrooms, six fireplaces, a dock and a boathouse.
“This unprecedented offering is one of the most iconic properties in Charlestown,” Joyal said. “The
extraordinary desire for our beautiful Rhode Island coastal properties continues to rise as evidenced
by the overwhelming demand.” Lila Delman Real Estate International, based in Narragansett, said
that year to date, it has participated in the top four highest-priced single-family home sales in Rhode
Island, according to the MLS data.
Real estate listing records shows that luxury properties have appreciated considerably since the
downturn of the last recession. The previous sale of the Arnolda Road estate was for $1.7 million in
2010.
