Conventional science assumes that physical objects are
simply “out there”, just waiting to be discovered…

…even though this assumption is completely unprovable.

This assumption has gone largely unaddressed by
modern science…

…and mostly unnoticed by those outside of the
scientific community.

Even though this assumption has the potential to
aﬀect our lives at every level.

By assuming that physical objects, are “out there”, many people
view themselves as separate from the rest of the world.

Forgetting that they are actively modeling this “world”
through their perceptions.

This gives rise to an inherently fragmented view of the world….

…a model of the world where everything is made up of
smaller and smaller “parts”…

…based upon separateness and fragmentation.

The roots of this model in the West can be traced back
to the teachings of the Greek philosopher Democritus.

Democritus (along with Leucippus) is often considered
to be the inspiration for atomic theory.

Few people realize that Democritus’ teachings
were essentially incompatible with the teachings of Plato.

Plato is even quoted as saying that he would
“gladly burn all the works of Democritus he could collect.”
(Aristoxenus, Historical Notes)

Such a perspective might seem shocking, but it does
open up an important question…

What model of the world was Plato working with?

As far as history can tell, Plato continued in
the traditions established by Pythagoras.

Pythagoras is widely considered to be the father of
Western philosophy — having brought Geometry and
mathematics to the Western World.

The Pythagorean tradition has deep ties to mathematics
in the West (most notably through the Pythagorean Theorem).

The teachings of Pythagoras and Plato are even
thought to have inﬂuenced Euclid.

The most powerful tools of modern science, mathematics and
Geometry, are directly traceable to Pythagoras, Plato, and Euclid.

Even though modern science has chosen to explore
the model of the world traceable back to Democritus!

A fragmented view of the world with which
most of us are familiar.

What other model of the world is there?

By exploring Ancient Mathematics…

It appears that the Pythagoreans advocated
a model that started with Absolute Unity.

A Scientiﬁc model of the Universe where everything
is inherently interconnected with everything else.
