Titanic Essay example
One of the greatest news headlines of all times was actually never supposed to happen. The
shocking news of the sunken ocean liner the Titanic shocked millions. The sinking itself probably
wouldn't have even mattered except that the builders themselves said that the ship simply could not
sink. The news not only hit the United States, but countries everywhere were saddened to hear the
news of "The Unsinkable" and its grave end. In 1907 a man named J. Bruce Ismay, who was the
manager of White Star Lines went to a dinner party at the mansion of the wealthy William James
Pierre. Pierre was a chairman to one of the largest shipbuilding companies in Belfast, Harland and
Wolff. At dinner the two discussed luxury ships like the Lusitania and the...show more content...
the lookouts of the Titanic, which was moving around 20 ВЅ knots, sight a gigantic iceberg straight
in their course. The warning bell is immediately sounded. Quick after, Sixth Officer Moody relays
the message to First Officer Murdoch who calls the engine room and tells the engineers to turn off
the engines and turn the ship hard. Thirty–seven seconds of heart stopping time later, the iceberg
strikes the ship on the starboard bow side. The impact is not noticed by most of the passengers.
After some time it is reported to the Capitan that the ship is taking on water rapidly, flooding the
holds and boiler rooms. Thomas Andrews, Capitan Smith's assistant, calculates how much longer
the ship can stay afloat and the estimation was two and a half hours only. The ship sends out
distress signals, and many ships hear and prepare to assist the Titanic. At 12:20 A.M. orders are
given to have women and children start to board lifeboats. Most lifeboats only left holding only a
fraction of what they were capable of. The last words heard by neighboring ships by the Titanic
were heard at 1:45 A.M. Still holding over one thousand five hundred people, the ships head sinks
under water. All of the lights on the Titanic go out, and a huge roar is heard as all of the objects not
bolted to the floor fly towards the submerged bow. At that point the ship breaks in two, and
approximately two minutes later, the remaining stern settles again, fills with water and slowly sinks
into the ocean.

Essay about Titanic
TITANIC This paper will be about the sinking of the R.M.S. Titanic. Some people call this sinking
the greatest maritime disaster. It wasn't just the fact that the ship sank, but also all the different
circumstances that caused this ship to sink and take so many lives.
In the time period of 1900's–1915's many things happened. One
major disaster was the sinking of the Titanic. The information will be gathered from the library, a
documentary film, the Internet and personal books. From these resources the paper will explain
about how the Titanic sank, some of the people who were on the ship and how it was found after
over 70 years at the bottom of the Atlantic. People who read this paper should learn about the...show

( Internet)      It was believed that the other 44 lifeboats were
taken off to make more room. At that time there was no rule on how many lifeboats were needed
on a ship. After the sinking, there were rules made on how many lifeboats a certain ship would
have to carry. (Internet)      About four years before the Titanic
was even a thought, an author wrote about a huge ship, exactly like the Titanic. He wrote that on
the ships maiden voyage it struck an iceberg and sank, killing thousands of people. The name of
this ship that the author wrote about was called the "Titan." Many people think that
the Titanic was doomed before it even set sail for New York City. As the Titanic moved through
the harbor, a huge displacement of water caused the steamer New York to snap its mooring lines
and the New York began to slide towards the Titanic but tugboats moved the ship away before any
damage could be done. On the way to Cherbourg, France, there was a fire in boiler room number 5.
All these things happened before the ship picked up any passengers. ("R.M.S."Internet)
There were three classes of people aboard the Titanic. The
Upper class, mostly rich, business owners, aboard the ship just to say they were on the maiden
voyage. The Middle class, the people who could not afford the Upper class tickets. They were
mostly small to medium business owners who were on vacation just to

Narrative Essay On The Titanic
He told me I should go. But I didn't want to leave my room. I had all of my personal Belongings
including our three kids. I wanted them to survive but I didn't want them to suffer. My heart was
beating a million miles an hour. I was swarmed with little thoughts in my head on what to do. I
kept on thinking "If I go there is a chance we get hypothermia in the freezing cold water and die
suffering or what if we fall off and drown alive." I just wanted help. We are all going to die. I
boarded the boat, known as the Titanic. It was a ship that was going change my husband's, three
kids', and my own life forever. I was so excited to go on this adventure. As the doorman opened the
squeaky metal door to the ship, I started to think what if this ship sinks. So what I did was when I
got to the lobby I asked the Captain "How great of a chance is there that this ship will sink." He
replied "Madam, this ship has been tested completely unsinkable." "Thank you sir". At this point a
nice young lady came up to us and said "How are you" "great'' "Do you know what room you are
in?" "Yes, we are in room A25!" "That's amazing, My husband and I are in room A27 would you
like me to show you there." We really wanted to see the ship and get to know the place but we
couldn't make the young lady feel bad. "Sure, we would love that." The lady took us up a flight of
stairs and the ship had been decorated perfectly as to be a cute floral museum. The hallway was
lined with all white walls, and with a

speech because he wanted to Rose will be survived and she makes and grows his baby. Therefore,

I hear the rapid movement of feet outside of my room. Stewards whispering in concern and the
sound of continuous movement on the deck alarmed me. I knew something was wrong. As I threw
on my fur coat and opened my door, I see a steward and ask him what was happening. The words he
uttered made me stand frozen in shock, "The boat hit an iceberg and is about to sink." It took me
moments to comprehend what was said to me. The Titanic, the "Unsinkable Ship", was about to ship.
As I made my way to the deck, I saw most of first class just standing there and complaining about
how they didn't want to leave the boat. The crewmen on the ship were getting aggravated at the
passengers. I started help load women in children onto the lifeboats. Well, the

The Discovery Of The Titanic Essay
Out of all the ships that have sailed our beautiful oceans throughout time, there are few that have
been known for their "awe" factor, and legendary tales told throughout generations. On April
10th, 1912 all eyes were on the Titanic, and it gave the world hope. The ship itself was a work of
art and at her time of departure, was the largest ship known to man. The Titanic was a symbol of
hope and a new life, which in turn made it appealing not just to the elite, but for the poorest of
immigrants as well, trying to make a new and better life when she reached America. Her nickname,
"The Unsinkable" set sail for New York City ready to bring new hopes and dreams for the thousands
on board, but what they didnt know was the terrifying and devestating event that was about to occur,
and shock the world. Leaving Southhampton, England the Titanic had an estimated two thousand
two hundred and fourty four passengers onboard. What makes that special, I feel, is the diversity
that consisted with the passengers. From the top elite of the world ready to tour the sights of this
beautiful America, to the poorest immigrant who sold his last belonging so he and his family could
start a free new life; they could both be found on the Titanic. Richard Hines states in his book
Voyagers of the Titanic,"The stately progress of crowned heads and business chiefs demanded all
that was costly and conspicuous. But whereas monarchs expected panoply that enthroned precedent,
reverence, and continuity, the

In the movie Titanic, the story line revolves around two love interest, Jack and Rose. The two fall
in love despite being from different economic backgrounds and they fight the oppositions from
their families. Regardless of being one of the highest grossing movies of all time, the movie does
not incorporate many details as to why the Titanic sank. The only source the movie gives for the
Titanic's sinking is the damage the iceberg caused. Through time Scientist have proven that an
Iceberg was just one of the many factors causing the Titanic's demise. The film itself does not go
into detail into about how the Titanic sank instead it focuses more on the stories of the people on
board. Towards the end of the movie the scene of the lifeboats...show more content...
The iceberg left gashes on the ships steel hull then causing the floods in different compartments
(William Kaufman). Going back to the negligence of the warning signals, the captain and officers
were largely at fault for not receiving the messages and acting upon them. If some action would
have been taken much earlier the ships sinking would not have occurred. The ship started
receiving messages about the iceberg noon on Sunday, April 14 then another at 9:30pm yet it
wasn't till 11:40pm that the iceberg was noticed by people on the ship. Scientist have said that the
reason the Titanic sank goes far beyond the ship hitting an iceberg. According to researchers the
Titanic had defective rivets that made the structure of the ship weak. "Rivets from the hull were
recently analyzed by a corrosion laboratory and were found to contain unusually high
concentrations of slag, making them brittle and prone to failure. The weakened rivets popped and
the plates separated." (Naomi Balaban, James Bobick). The hull was already weak once the iceberg
hit the ship causing the damage to be much more detrimental. (William Kaufman). After the Titanic
was hit the ships boilers explodes causing the ship to go into a vertical position, ultimately the
explosion sank the ship. (William Kaufman). The rivets that held the hull together were not placed
correctly and were not of high quality in order to cut costs. "This may have been the result of a
cost–cutting exercise and meant that the part of

Titanic Thesis Statement
The Titanic may be one of the most famous and well known shipwrecks of our time. Just about
everyone learns of the tragedy in school and how it was a complete accident. Information has
been found that point to the tragedy not being what we think it is. There is evidence that shows
that the ship thought to be the Titanic may actually be named the Olympic, and may have been
used in an insurance scam. This evidence includes pictures showing different amounts of port
holes and even people working on the ship coming forward. It has yet to be proven if this is 100%
true, but most would agree that all of this points to it being true. Everyone knows the story of the
Titanic. The ship was on its maiden voyage when it hit an iceberg and sank, leading to the death of
more than 1,500 people ("Titanic" A+E Networks). It was a horrible event, but it may have all been
planned by the company that owned the ship. White Star Line owned both the Titanic and its sister
ship, the Olympic. The...show more content...
Why is that they had such a difficult time finding people to work on the ship if so many people
we're out of work? It may have been that there was talk in the town of the switch. With the rich
and powerful, it may have been that they were friends with the high ranking people who knew
that the titanic was going to sink and were warned. An example of one of these men is J.P.
Morgan. He canceled his trip on the Titanic just a few days before its voyage, saying that it was
due to sickness. A short while after he was photographed in France with his wife in seemingly good
health. One theory is that he was informed about the scheduled crash and found another way to his
destination. One where he knew he was safe (Shan Dawson's YouTube

Many people across the world watch films. It is so popular because it puts a story on the screen and
into life so that people can see it.
People watch films for the entertainment value, or are simply too lazy to read and enjoy the magic
of a book.
The advantages of watching a film at the cinema rather than on video is the bigger screen, and the
surround sound, also the atmosphere. This all adds up and creates a bigger impact than a video.
People make films to tell a story or get a message across, such as "Pearl Harbour," which tells us the
story of a real historical event through the eyes of a fictional love story, very much like "Titanic." Or
"Shrek," which puts a message...show more content...
An example of this on "Titanic" is when they go from the back of the boat to the front.
They also use Sound Effect to make what is happening sound more real, such as an explosion or
band. They also use backing tracks, which can be used to emphasise the emotion a character is
feeling. For example, if it was sad, they might use a love song.
They use costume to show you what time something was set it, or the class of the people,
particularly shown in "Titanic," as Jack is very poor and Rose is rich. The characters who wear the
costumes are also very important. They have to look the part and sound the part, not just be able to
read the lines. They have to act the way a person of that time would.
For my GCSE coursework, I will be writing a Media essay on "Titanic," which was directed by
James Caremon. It was made in 1997, and was the most expensive film made at the time. It won
many awards, and is one of the great love stories told, based on a real historical event.
The Titanic was quoted as being "Titanic, wasn't just another ship, it was bigger, faster, and more
luxurious than any other ship before her." She had two sister ships, The Olympic and The
Britannic, all of which were owned by White Star Line, a series of very luxurious ships. It was built
in Harland and WolffShipyard, and was 882 ft 6 inches, by 92 ft 6 inches. It had 2212 people
onboard, 20 lifeboats, which only had

The Titanic Essay
The Titanic – History of a Disaster On April 14,1912 a great ship called the Titanic sank on its
maiden voyage. That night there were many warnings of icebergs from other ships. There seems
to be a conflict on whether or not the warnings reached the bridge. We may never know the
answer to this question. The greatest tragedy of all may be that there were not enough lifeboats
for everyone on board. According to Walter Lord, author of The Night Lives On, the Titanic could
have been saved in the very beginning of the crisis when the iceberg was first reported to the
bridge. If First Officer Murdoch had steamed right at the iceberg instead of trying to avoid it, he
might have saved the ship. The author feels there would have been a loud...show more content...
The Captain was going to have to make a choice as to who would be the first allowed on the
lifeboats. Around 12:30 a.m. the bridge informed the crew that only women and children would
be loaded on the lifeboats (Eaton,Haas,152). By 1:30 a.m., there was panic among some of the
passengers. One example was on the port side of the boat. A group of passengers threatened to
jump into a boat full of passengers. To scare them, one of the officers fired three shots on the
ship's side. The warning proved to be successful. Nobody was injured and the passengers calmed
down (Eaton and Haas 154). At the last moments with only forty seven available spaces on the last
lifeboat, the crew instructed everyone to form a circle around the boat. Women and children were
the only people permitted to pass through the circle. A little while after the last lifeboat left, the
stern lifted clear out of the water with more than 1500 people still on board (Eaton and Haas
157–161). The climatic moment came at 2:20 a.m. The Titanic stood perpendicular to the water. As
people in the lifeboats looked on, they noticed the ship stayed perpendicular for a minute and then
disappeared to the bottom of the ocean (Lord, Lives on 137). Captain Rostron of the ship Carpathia
determined the distance to the Titanic and quickly calculated the course to answer the Titanic's
distress call

Reflection Paper On Titanic
Today I chose to watch "Titanic" for the very first time. I chose to watch "Titanic, because I
wanted to know what the movie was really about, maybe I might like the movie. Actually watching
the movie gives you another perspective than just knowing what the setting and theme is about.
Many people looked at me like I was crazy, when I said "I had never watched "Titanic", and wanted
to finally watch it, and see if I actually would like, so I gave it a chance. My one regret is coming
into the movie hating it and not wanting to enjoy it. I thought that the movie was going to be the
worst three hours of my life, I will never make that mistake coming into a movie already hating it
before I even watched it.
I watched the movie on my laptop in my room alone. My experience during the movie was actually
really nice and surprisingly I didn't hate the movie like I said I would. It was a very entertaining

  • 1. Titanic Essay example One of the greatest news headlines of all times was actually never supposed to happen. The shocking news of the sunken ocean liner the Titanic shocked millions. The sinking itself probably wouldn't have even mattered except that the builders themselves said that the ship simply could not sink. The news not only hit the United States, but countries everywhere were saddened to hear the news of "The Unsinkable" and its grave end. In 1907 a man named J. Bruce Ismay, who was the manager of White Star Lines went to a dinner party at the mansion of the wealthy William James Pierre. Pierre was a chairman to one of the largest shipbuilding companies in Belfast, Harland and Wolff. At dinner the two discussed luxury ships like the Lusitania and the...show more content... the lookouts of the Titanic, which was moving around 20 ВЅ knots, sight a gigantic iceberg straight in their course. The warning bell is immediately sounded. Quick after, Sixth Officer Moody relays the message to First Officer Murdoch who calls the engine room and tells the engineers to turn off the engines and turn the ship hard. Thirty–seven seconds of heart stopping time later, the iceberg strikes the ship on the starboard bow side. The impact is not noticed by most of the passengers. After some time it is reported to the Capitan that the ship is taking on water rapidly, flooding the holds and boiler rooms. Thomas Andrews, Capitan Smith's assistant, calculates how much longer the ship can stay afloat and the estimation was two and a half hours only. The ship sends out distress signals, and many ships hear and prepare to assist the Titanic. At 12:20 A.M. orders are given to have women and children start to board lifeboats. Most lifeboats only left holding only a fraction of what they were capable of. The last words heard by neighboring ships by the Titanic were heard at 1:45 A.M. Still holding over one thousand five hundred people, the ships head sinks under water. All of the lights on the Titanic go out, and a huge roar is heard as all of the objects not bolted to the floor fly towards the submerged bow. At that point the ship breaks in two, and approximately two minutes later, the remaining stern settles again, fills with water and slowly sinks into the ocean. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

At that time there was no rule on how many lifeboats were needed on a ship. After the sinking, there were rules made on how many lifeboats a certain ship would have to carry. (Internet)      About four years before the Titanic was even a thought, an author wrote about a huge ship, exactly like the Titanic. He wrote that on the ships maiden voyage it struck an iceberg and sank, killing thousands of people. The name of this ship that the author wrote about was called the "Titan." Many people think that the Titanic was doomed before it even set sail for New York City. As the Titanic moved through the harbor, a huge displacement of water caused the steamer New York to snap its mooring lines and the New York began to slide towards the Titanic but tugboats moved the ship away before any damage could be done. On the way to Cherbourg, France, there was a fire in boiler room number 5. All these things happened before the ship picked up any passengers. ("R.M.S."Internet)      There were three classes of people aboard the Titanic. The Upper class, mostly rich, business owners, aboard the ship just to say they were on the maiden voyage. The Middle class, the people who could not afford the Upper class tickets. They were mostly small to medium business owners who were on vacation just to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Narrative Essay On The Titanic He told me I should go. But I didn't want to leave my room. I had all of my personal Belongings including our three kids. I wanted them to survive but I didn't want them to suffer. My heart was beating a million miles an hour. I was swarmed with little thoughts in my head on what to do. I kept on thinking "If I go there is a chance we get hypothermia in the freezing cold water and die suffering or what if we fall off and drown alive." I just wanted help. We are all going to die. I boarded the boat, known as the Titanic. It was a ship that was going change my husband's, three kids', and my own life forever. I was so excited to go on this adventure. As the doorman opened the squeaky metal door to the ship, I started to think what if this ship sinks. So what I did was when I got to the lobby I asked the Captain "How great of a chance is there that this ship will sink." He replied "Madam, this ship has been tested completely unsinkable." "Thank you sir". At this point a nice young lady came up to us and said "How are you" "great'' "Do you know what room you are in?" "Yes, we are in room A25!" "That's amazing, My husband and I are in room A27 would you like me to show you there." We really wanted to see the ship and get to know the place but we couldn't make the young lady feel bad. "Sure, we would love that." The lady took us up a flight of stairs and the ship had been decorated perfectly as to be a cute floral museum. • 6. The Discovery Of The Titanic Essay Out of all the ships that have sailed our beautiful oceans throughout time, there are few that have been known for their "awe" factor, and legendary tales told throughout generations. On April 10th, 1912 all eyes were on the Titanic, and it gave the world hope. The ship itself was a work of art and at her time of departure, was the largest ship known to man. The Titanic was a symbol of hope and a new life, which in turn made it appealing not just to the elite, but for the poorest of immigrants as well, trying to make a new and better life when she reached America. Her nickname, "The Unsinkable" set sail for New York City ready to bring new hopes and dreams for the thousands on board, but what they didnt know was the terrifying and devestating event that was about to occur, and shock the world. Leaving Southhampton, England the Titanic had an estimated two thousand two hundred and fourty four passengers onboard. What makes that special, I feel, is the diversity that consisted with the passengers. From the top elite of the world ready to tour the sights of this beautiful America, to the poorest immigrant who sold his last belonging so he and his family could start a free new life; they could both be found on the Titanic. Richard Hines states in his book Voyagers of the Titanic,"The stately progress of crowned heads and business chiefs demanded all that was costly and conspicuous. But whereas monarchs expected panoply that enthroned precedent, reverence, and continuity, the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The two fall in love despite being from different economic backgrounds and they fight the oppositions from their families. Regardless of being one of the highest grossing movies of all time, the movie does not incorporate many details as to why the Titanic sank. The only source the movie gives for the Titanic's sinking is the damage the iceberg caused. Through time Scientist have proven that an Iceberg was just one of the many factors causing the Titanic's demise. The film itself does not go into detail into about how the Titanic sank instead it focuses more on the stories of the people on board. Going back to the negligence of the warning signals, the captain and officers were largely at fault for not receiving the messages and acting upon them. If some action would have been taken much earlier the ships sinking would not have occurred. The ship started receiving messages about the iceberg noon on Sunday, April 14 then another at 9:30pm yet it wasn't till 11:40pm that the iceberg was noticed by people on the ship. Scientist have said that the reason the Titanic sank goes far beyond the ship hitting an iceberg. According to researchers the Titanic had defective rivets that made the structure of the ship weak. "Rivets from the hull were recently analyzed by a corrosion laboratory and were found to contain unusually high concentrations of slag, making them brittle and prone to failure. The weakened rivets popped and the plates separated." (Naomi Balaban, James Bobick). The hull was already weak once the iceberg hit the ship causing the damage to be much more detrimental. (William Kaufman). After the Titanic was hit the ships boilers explodes causing the ship to go into a vertical position, ultimately the explosion sank the ship. (William Kaufman). The rivets that held the hull together were not placed correctly and were not of high quality in order to cut costs. "This may have been the result of a cost–cutting exercise and meant that the part of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 11. Titanic Thesis Statement The Titanic may be one of the most famous and well known shipwrecks of our time. Just about everyone learns of the tragedy in school and how it was a complete accident. Information has been found that point to the tragedy not being what we think it is. There is evidence that shows that the ship thought to be the Titanic may actually be named the Olympic, and may have been used in an insurance scam. This evidence includes pictures showing different amounts of port holes and even people working on the ship coming forward. It has yet to be proven if this is 100% true, but most would agree that all of this points to it being true. Everyone knows the story of the Titanic. The ship was on its maiden voyage when it hit an iceberg and sank, leading to the death of more than 1,500 people ("Titanic" A+E Networks). It was a horrible event, but it may have all been planned by the company that owned the ship. White Star Line owned both the Titanic and its sister ship, the Olympic. The...show more content... Morgan. He canceled his trip on the Titanic just a few days before its voyage, saying that it was due to sickness. • 12. Titanic Essay Titanic Essay Many people across the world watch films. It is so popular because it puts a story on the screen and into life so that people can see it. People watch films for the entertainment value, or are simply too lazy to read and enjoy the magic of a book. The advantages of watching a film at the cinema rather than on video is the bigger screen, and the surround sound, also the atmosphere. This all adds up and creates a bigger impact than a video. People make films to tell a story or get a message across, such as "Pearl Harbour," which tells us the story of a real historical event through the eyes of a fictional love story, very much like "Titanic." Or "Shrek," which puts a message...show more content... An example of this on "Titanic" is when they go from the back of the boat to the front. They also use Sound Effect to make what is happening sound more real, such as an explosion or band. They also use backing tracks, which can be used to emphasise the emotion a character is feeling. For example, if it was sad, they might use a love song. They use costume to show you what time something was set it, or the class of the people, particularly shown in "Titanic," as Jack is very poor and Rose is rich. The characters who wear the costumes are also very important. They have to look the part and sound the part, not just be able to read the lines. They have to act the way a person of that time would. For my GCSE coursework, I will be writing a Media essay on "Titanic," which was directed by James Caremon. It was made in 1997, and was the most expensive film made at the time. It won many awards, and is one of the great love stories told, based on a real historical event. The Titanic was quoted as being "Titanic, wasn't just another ship, it was bigger, faster, and more luxurious than any other ship before her." She had two sister ships, The Olympic and The Britannic, all of which were owned by White Star Line, a series of very luxurious ships. • 13. The Titanic Essay The Titanic – History of a Disaster On April 14,1912 a great ship called the Titanic sank on its maiden voyage. That night there were many warnings of icebergs from other ships. There seems to be a conflict on whether or not the warnings reached the bridge. We may never know the answer to this question. The greatest tragedy of all may be that there were not enough lifeboats for everyone on board. According to Walter Lord, author of The Night Lives On, the Titanic could have been saved in the very beginning of the crisis when the iceberg was first reported to the bridge. If First Officer Murdoch had steamed right at the iceberg instead of trying to avoid it, he might have saved the ship. The author feels there would have been a loud...show more content... The Captain was going to have to make a choice as to who would be the first allowed on the lifeboats. Around 12:30 a.m. the bridge informed the crew that only women and children would be loaded on the lifeboats (Eaton,Haas,152). By 1:30 a.m., there was panic among some of the passengers. One example was on the port side of the boat. A group of passengers threatened to jump into a boat full of passengers. To scare them, one of the officers fired three shots on the ship's side. The warning proved to be successful. Nobody was injured and the passengers calmed down (Eaton and Haas 154). At the last moments with only forty seven available spaces on the last lifeboat, the crew instructed everyone to form a circle around the boat. Women and children were the only people permitted to pass through the circle. A little while after the last lifeboat left, the stern lifted clear out of the water with more than 1500 people still on board (Eaton and Haas 157–161). The climatic moment came at 2:20 a.m. The Titanic stood perpendicular to the water. As people in the lifeboats looked on, they noticed the ship stayed perpendicular for a minute and then disappeared to the bottom of the ocean (Lord, Lives on 137). Captain Rostron of the ship Carpathia determined the distance to the Titanic and quickly calculated the course to answer the Titanic's distress call Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Reflection Paper On Titanic Today I chose to watch "Titanic" for the very first time. I chose to watch "Titanic, because I wanted to know what the movie was really about, maybe I might like the movie. Actually watching the movie gives you another perspective than just knowing what the setting and theme is about. Many people looked at me like I was crazy, when I said "I had never watched "Titanic", and wanted to finally watch it, and see if I actually would like, so I gave it a chance. My one regret is coming into the movie hating it and not wanting to enjoy it. I thought that the movie was going to be the worst three hours of my life, I will never make that mistake coming into a movie already hating it before I even watched it.
