I have always found nature to be so amazing from the hundreds of trees and flowers to the animals
within the forest. Experiencing nature is one of the best things that could happen in your life. I
have always lived near the woods so I can experience nature every day. I have always felt calm when
I go into the woods so I go there when I feel stressed. I lay in my hammock for a while or go put my
feet into the icy cold water in the creek to get away from the world and just be at peace. To get
away from the judgmental glares and the expectations from people.
One thing I used to love to do when I was little was put on my bathing suit and play in the creek
with my cousins and two sisters. We would hunt crawdads and lizards. We tried to go up or down
the creek as far as we could without getting in trouble. We had a tire swing to swing over the
creek. We also made mud pies and mud castles. A bunch of us always made mud balls to throw at
each other. The amount of imagination you get when you mix going into the woods with a bunch
of people is crazy. We always make up games to play when we are in the creek, like villains and
heroes.
Another thing I love to do outdoors is ride my families Polaris razor. I drive it all around at home or
my family and I go somewhere to ride. We go to Windrock Park in Tennessee which has over 72,000
acres with 314 miles of trails to drive on. We get to drive for hours there and see all the amazing

Mental illness has been a mystery seemingly unsolvable for thousands of years. Mental illness only
became known as new brain imaging technologies were invented in the 20th century. In the present
day depression and anxiety are commonplace, and they run rampant in our schools as adolescents
face the challenges of becoming adults, working men and women put a smile on for innocent

My Nature Reflection
I went outside for about an hour Sunday, because that was all I could handle. Outside and I do
not mix, because I do not like dirt or bugs or wild animals. While I was outside and not thinking
about how much I did not like outside I was thinking about how I was feeling good about my
family outing later in the day and how were we going to have an exciting time together going to
Mint Hill for farm equipment and Concord Mills Mall for some shopping afterwards. During this
time I thought about why my family does not go on many outings such as this, and I came up with a
few reasons. One, my mother and father are older and cannot physically take such a long trip very

scales of the cosmos, nature's life provides enrichment for future generations and civilizations.
Diverse species of plants and animals scour the Earth, each one of them strikingly different to the

I would define nature as the world around us without any type of human involvement. I believe that
nature is anything natural to the earth. It is the plants, animals, rivers, forests, birds, weather, etc. It
is a gift given to us from god. Most people believe that nature is just centered on the thought of the
ocean and forest. Nature to me is the life source for all living creatures it provides us with the four
essential things that we need to survive which are food, water, air, and shelter. However, we are so

Living in our modern world today, being close to nature is something that goes undervalued.
Luckily, my parents have influenced my love of nature, by involving me to grow several trees

Genie was a young feral girl that wasn't allowed to speak or make any noises if she did she would
be beaten. This caused her not to speak. Also, she was tied to a little chair, and when she got older

For as long as I can remember, the outdoors has always been a place where I can go to find myself
again. It is a place where I can be whatever I want, a place where there are no rules, no family and

Nature in Literature: Basho and Voltaire Nature plays a huge role in many pieces of literature, but
especially Basho's Narrow Road to the Deep North and Voltaire's Candide. There is a major
difference between the two forms of literature and how nature is incorporated into each. This
Japanese form of literature has a much lighter tone than that of the European style of literature.

Despite what mankind would like to believe, humans are animals. As multi–celled organisms, we
consume other organic matter, change the land for own uses as a beaver would build a dam, and as
other mammals, we are all fed breast milk from our mothers when we were young. Yet there is this
disconnection and alienation of the human race towards other species. Moreover, through fear of
taking action, the convenience provided to us if we simply choose to ignore the environment, and the
alienation of other species that are endangered by our actions, the hostile and uncaring attitude of
humans towards nature is the core reason for many of the problems in our environment today.
As a 17–year old teenager going to high school, contrary to the environmental activist, David
Suzuki's, remarks about the ignorance of humans about nature, I receive much information about
these kinds of problems at my school, from dedicated assemblies, eco fairs and special days that
address our responsibility to deal with nature in a more responsible fashion. Yet, when the school
day is over, all of the information seeps out of the roof of the school; plastic water bottles are still
found in the corners of hallways and leftover Tim Hortons cups are still present in the desks of my
