This document outlines 12 common problems that can occur when implementing education technology. These problems include having an insufficient budget, failing to secure support from senior administrators, not having a sponsor for the project, providing inadequate training, insufficiently testing technology from a technical perspective, not considering the student perspective, failing to involve faculty early on, creating technology that is not relevant to its intended audience, not planning for adequate support, failing to incorporate training for new users, forgetting to conduct risk assessments, and having limited or no long term planning.
