College Assignment - Stamps
T his assignment gave me a chance to design four stamps for
Australia Post. I chose to paint my stamps in an expressionist style.
I felt it gave the images movement and individuality. I feel it also shows
the innocence and beauty of the sea.

Beach Chic.
Looking for a style that’s both elegant and beach friendly? Check out these
decorating tips and bring shoreside sophistication into your home.
Add Wood
For old beach shacks, wood was the building material of choice. It remains popular in
shoreside homes today because of its easy maintenance and warm appearance. Show
off your home’s original wood or create the same effect by applying V-groove or beaded
board to existing wallboard. Coat walls, ceilings, doors, and trim in the same white hue
to create a uniform backdrop for furniture and accessories. As the daylight changes, so
will the space’s colour and feel. Shake things up with a few unexpected accents. Mir-
rored and modern pieces blend seamlessly yet keep the look from becoming predict-
able.

table, and slipcovered furnishings (similar to those shown) from BeachDwelling; beach-
dwelling.com.
Cover Up
For a natural look, pair weathered wood furniture with fine or coarse linen fabrics. The
salvaged or reclaimed wood lends a sense of history, while the fabrics provide subtle so-
phistication. For practicality, consider slipcovers. Whether tailored or loose-fitting, slipcov-
ers are salt-, sand-, and family-friendly, and can easily be washed or replaced. And don’t
forget to accent with treasures from the sea. Nothing shouts “beach” louder than shells!
College Assignment - Magazine “GLOW”
W e had to find a gap in the market and create a magazine. I
wanted to create a magazine for women who live by or love the
beach. It’s about fashion, lifestyle and interior design. I wanted to create
a magazine that was high end but also about the home while still being
sexy.
4. Event Design
College Assignment - Festival Poster
F or this assignment we had to invent a festival and design a poster to
advertise the festival. I created Bluesfest in Mission Beach which is a
blues and roots music festival. It has a relaxed atmosphere showcasing
new talent from all over Australia. I also created a ticket and VIP Pass
to show the style across multiple pieces of collateral.
5. Packaging & Design
College Assignment - CD Packaging
H ere I designed a CD cover, label, booklet and sticker for up and
coming Australian Indie Folk singer Kim Churchill. He is known for
his earthy sounds and comes from the south coast so I felt an organic
beach feel suited him best. I also created an original knifeline for the
packaging.
6. Packaging & Design

College Assignment - Cookie Packaging
W e were given the opportunity to create a package for 12 cookies.
I wanted my design to be fun, creative, cheeky, quirky and high
quality. I created original characters and a new knifelline.
7. Advertising
College Assignment - Fedex print campaign
F or this assignment we were to create three print advertisements for
Fedex. The Tag line to be used was “Faster”. I chose to go down the
angle of what isn’t good fast.
