The earthquake that hit the UK was the biggest in 25 years. It affected a large area from Edinburgh to Plymouth with a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale. Several buildings were damaged, including collapsed chimneys, and some people were injured, with one person breaking their pelvis.
