Descriptive Essay On An Island
The first thing that hit me was the sound. The sounds of birds, the sound of the sea crawling onto
the sand. I felt million grains of sand underneath my feet and the cool breeze against my face.
Moreover, the tantalizing scent of the washed–up waves, coconut, and pineapple are all mixed into
one. As I opened my eyes, I was amazed by how easily fantasy and reality intertwined at that
moment. It was like continuing a dream after waking up. So I dragged myself up and turn my
head to the east. While the sky in the opposite direction was still dark, the dawn on the east side
already broke. A mixture of yellow and orange on the horizon beneath a dark neon blue ocean of
night had begun to peek out. As the sun continuously rose, all of the purple and deep blue faded

trapped on an island. I stood there for a moment and tried to figure out how I got to this island. A
series of quick flashback of a shipwreck, and a big storm. Consequently, I have a severe headache, so
I decided to sit down in the sand. While sitting down, I observe the island and find that I was
surrounded by water and some other islands. The water around the island was as clear as crystal,
to the point I can see the depths of the sea. Again, I dragged myself up and turn to the back; it
seemed like a tropical paradise. There were multitudes of greenery, lush foliage that looked like they
were painted on.
I walk deeper into the island. Nowhere, the sound of the birds started to raise up. It brought
freedom and happiness to the mind. Beautiful flowers in reds, yellows, purples, and pinks lounged
happily along the banks of small streams. Following the streams, it allowed me to hear the playful
sound of the water lapping on the rocks, and the sound of leaves rustling when the wind blew
gently, bringing with it a feeling of peace and tranquility. Continuing through the trees, my stomach

The first time I stepped into New York, I was in total shock and awe. Buildings stretching across

Another one of my favorite places I have ever visited Is Niagara Falls we went to the both sides of

everything I have heard, and my room makes me feel comfortable like there is nothing that can stop

The Interesting Bus Ride Home
When most people think about an eventful or memorable place, they almost certainly would not
picture a bus. As we all know, buses are not exactly attractive. The design scheme is the same in
almost every bus: rows and rows of brown seats, a thin black aisle down the middle of the bus,
hundreds of hazy windows, and the big, lemon–yellow exterior. Not many people, I am sure, would
consider buses to be an important part of their lives. However, if a person were to think about it,
they would realize that they probably have had at least one memorable experience in their life that
took place on a bus.
One of the most memorable bus experiences in my life happened when I was in fifth grade. The

"Duh," I replied, rolling my eyes, "but that is my backpack you're sitting next to!"
"Why don't you just sit with one of your little friends over there," he inquired with an oh–so–smug
look on his face.
"Kia, sit down! We've got to get going," the bus driver yelled.
I leaned in closer, glaring at the obnoxious little worm. "Because this is my seat. Why don't you go
sit with one of your friends?" "Why don't you make me?"
"Sit down back there!"
If looks could kill, that boy would have been fried right then and there.
"Fine," he groaned, "but next time I'm not moving."
"Whatever, Nathan, just hurry up," I spat.
As I sat down in my regained seat, my friends and I all looked at each other and, at the exact same
time, said, "He is so annoying!"
We all laughed, and began trading stories of various "Nathan" experiences, which made us all glad
that there was only one Nathaniel Larson at our school. After hearing about some of the things he
had done, I felt rather virtuous for standing up to him, almost like an oppressed servant that had
just stood up to the miserable master of the house and won. Everyone commented on how brave I
was for making him leave, but I just shrugged and said, "If you get mad enough, you would be
surprised what you're suddenly capable of."

Outside the bus, the rain dripped steadily from the clouds, almost as though it wasn't in too much of
a hurry to hit the ground. As the bus ride wore on, my friends and I got bored,
