Tentative Schedule of Events
Wednesday, November 16, 2016
7:30-8:30 a.m. On-site check-in for Vet Science and Horse Eval (all teams MUST be checked in by 8:30)
8:45 a.m. Welcome
9:00 a.m. Dismiss Vet Science teams to Carmen Pavilion for competition
Horse evaluation teams remain in Expo Center for classes
We anticipate these events being completed by 11:30.
THEN - we will have concessions on site for students/advisors/others to purchase lunch...
Horse Evaluation

Horse Evaluation CDE requires three participants for a team, and is limited to four participants
maximum per team. Incomplete teams and/or alternates will disqualify a chapter from participating.
Three performance classes (Performance classes may include:
Western Horsemanship, Hunt Seat Equitation, Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Reining, English
Pleasure (Saddle Seat), Hunter Under Saddle (Hunt Seat), Trail and Hunter Hack. Performance classes
will be judged as presented (unsoundness to be penalized accordingly).
Three halter classes ( Halter classes may be represented by the following breeds and types: Quarter
Horse, Conformation Hunter, Appaloosa, Arabian, Paint, American Saddle Bred and Morgan; All halter
classes will be judged as sound.)
Two classes of reasons (Reasons must be shorter than 2 minutes.)
Classes are based on the availability of horses and may change.
Scantron will be used
Event will follow the 2017-2022 National FFA guidelines
Patterns will be provided to the teams prior to the start of the event for all classes requiring patterns.
