The National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies undertakes assessment and
accreditation of Certification Bodies applying for accreditation as per the Board's
criteria in line with international standards and guidelines.
NABCB represents the interests of the Indian industry at International forums through membership and active
participation with the objective of becoming a signatory to multilateral and mutually recognition agreements
with other countries.

7. Accreditation
JAS-ANZ is the government-appointed accreditation body of Australia and New
Zealand responsible for providing accreditation of conformity assessment bodies
(CABs) in the fields of certification and inspection. Accreditation by JAS-ANZ
demonstrates the competence and independence of CABs.
NABC & JAS - ANZ is a member of the IAF MLA & PAC MLA for Quality Management Systems,
Environmental Management Systems and Food Safety Management Systems. IAF-MLA
membership provides equal status to all accreditation bodies and global recognition to
management system certificate issued by certification bodies accredited by any signatory of
IAF-MLA.
Certificate of compliance issued by IQC will contain NABCB and or JAS-ANZ logo to give the traceability for international

Audit is carried out to verify compliance to the planned arrangements. The arrangements may
be based on statutory, customer and project specific requirements. IQC has competent
resources to conduct audits on behalf of clients planning to enhance confidence on their
capability to deliver the products meeting applicable requirements.
Audit is based on the requirement specified by the customer. Audit can be technical audit to
demonstrate capability to meet the specified requirements, project audit to evaluate the
compliance to project specified requirements or audit to evaluate implementation of a specified
standard. Audit provides inputs for improvement programme,
