Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes

  1. 1. Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes<br />
  2. 2. Ingredients<br />8 cups water<br />1 ½ cups warm buttermilk<br />3 ½ lb. Yukon gold potatoes<br />1 ¼ tsp. salt<br />¾ tsp. pepper<br />𝟏𝟑 cup butter, melted<br />3 garlic cloves<br />1 tbsp. olive oil<br />2 cups chicken broth<br /> <br />
  3. 3. Mince garlic<br />
  4. 4. Sauté garlic in hot oil over medium heat 3 minutes.<br />
  5. 5. Add water, chicken broth, potatoes & ¼ tsp. salt.<br />
  6. 6. Bring to a boil.<br />
  7. 7. Cover, reduce heat and cook 15 – 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.<br />
  8. 8. Drain potatoes.<br />
  9. 9. Add buttermilk, butter, pepper and 1 tsp. salt.<br />
  10. 10. Mash potatoes with large fork or potato masher.<br />
