School climate refers to the nature of situation and interaction that prevails between the teachers and head of the institutions.
The study is conducted with an objective to investigate the types of organizational climate that exist in the higher secondary
schools and its overall influence on the job satisfaction of Postgraduate teachers working in such schools The nature of the
study is Normative Survey. Organizational Climate Descriptive Questionnaire and the job satisfaction scale were admin-
istered to the 100 teachers working in senior secondary schools of District Panchkula. The analysis revealed a significant
difference in the school organizational climate and the job satisfaction of teachers. Job satisfaction was same among the
teachers irrespective of their Marital Status, location of school, type of school they work except their sex. However, it is
interesting to note that the open type of climate leads to very high level of job satisfaction among the teachers.
