Specific functions:
In the rig cite I to make a bentonitic spud mud in the first phases of drilling, but for a technical
reasons it is follow by oil-based mud (Vera-drill RELAXED AND CONVENTIONAL) or the filtrate
must be controlled to avoid the majority of problems related to drilling fluids, especially: sticking,
friction losses,... but for environmental reasons, I prefer working with water-based mud (KCL
Polymer, K CL PHPA, Ultradill .....).
Main qualifications:
I prepare a different type of mud for drilling operation ( Bentonitic Spud mud, OBM, KCL-
Polymer WBM, Completion fluids, work over fluids ), evaluate drilling fluids using chemical and
physical tests: Rheology, filtrate API and HT- HP, chlorides & hardness, pH, alkalinity,
shale/clay & solids control, inventory, and cost control, treatment of loss circulation, stuck pipe,
kicks gas, hole collapse, hole cleaning, water inflows, abnormal formation pressures, treatments
& control of contamination, Recommend drilling fluid adjustments, create daily drilling fluid
report, Manage inventory, analyze data and make practical recommendations, ensure that an
adequate chemical inventory at the rig sit based on the drilling fluid program, working as part of
a team along with Company man, Tool pusher, Mud Logging and MWD Operator, and the other
crew of the Rig.

-D.E.U.A diplomat of chemical industry from Constantine University (Algeria).

On the rig site I am responsible for:
 Preparation and mixing of required drilling fluids and brine systems.
 Monitor the properties of the systems and make recommendations for
treatments to maintain system properties within the specifications outlined
in Company's program.
 Perform daily pilot tests to determine appropriate treatments to the mud
system.
 Provide a display of materials usage and cost, Current records of
consumption cost and inventory maintained and reported on daily basis.
 Order materials as required to maintain adequate stocks on location.
 Monitor performance of solids control equipment and maintain a complete
materials balance.
 Ensure all necessary equipment is available and fully operational, and to
verify the material inventory on rig site.
 Preparation of End of interval report & detailed mud recap for each well
completed (Detailed technical & financial analysis, Cost Tracking, problems
encountered and solution, per day, per section….. ).
 Communicate daily rig situation to field representatives and Service
Supervisors
 Work closely with well site personnel to obtain optimum performance of SC
equipment’s.
 Provide proper supervision and training of well site personnel in regards to
mud chemicals mixing and to the potential hazards involved.
 Proactive involvement in operations activity that potential problems can be
identified in Contractor's area of expertise and brought to the attention of
the Company Well Site Supervisor, such that corrective action may be
implemented in advance of problems materializing.

ain salah. ANADARCCO contractor in BIR BERKINE block, PTTEP contractor in BIR REKIZE
block, actually I represent it with SAHARA- Schlumberger contractor in BIR BERKIN BLOC.
