Film Specific
1. Why does the human race look so fat and look like babies? Try to
incorporate industrialization into your question, does that have
anything to do with it? Give examples from the movie.
2. Describe the ways technology is also serving to „clean-up‟ humanity‟s
mess in the film. Then explain how technology has damaged life on
earth from the film
3. What are your thoughts and feelings of the beginning of the movie
Wall-e? Describe the setting of the clip.
Cultural Specific
4. Look how technology has influenced life on earth in the film;give
some examples from the movie. Pick out some similarities to life now.
How do the two compare? Does it improve or deter our lives?
5. What human activities might contribute to us progressing toward the
Earth depicted in the movie? Think about our countries lifestyles and
customs.
6. Think about feminism and women‟s stereotypes. What does Pixar
intentionally or unintentionally express when the Character “Eve” is
sent to save Earth? Also, how is Eves personality similar from Women
today and if you think different, explain.
7. Think about Sustainability in Portland. Other states or countries do not
emphasis sustainability. Could poverty, access to information and
resources, or education has anything to do with it? Wall-e gives a
narrow idea of our societies contributes when dealing with
industrialization and pollution.
