PROCEDURES:
1. Intro- Has anyone ever had Crab cakes? If so where at and how were they?
2. First take eight saltine crackers and crush them up into the bowl.
3. Then take two tablespoons of the mayonnaise and pour it into the bowl with
the other contents.
4. After that take a little bit of Dijon Mustard and mix it in with the other
contents in the bowl.
5. Then take some of the Old Bay seasoning and sprinkle a little bit into the
bowl, depending on how much you like Old Bay depends on how much you should put in, after that a
little bit of Worcestershire sauce and pour it into the bowl as well.
6. Now take your one egg and crack it and stir it into the contents of the bowl.
7. After all that preparation it is time to put the pound of crab meat into the
bowl, when you do this make sure you stir the crab meat and the contents in the bowl enough to cover
all the meat. After stirring all the crab meat and contents together cover the bowl with plastic and let
the bowl sit in the refrigerator for about an hour.
8. After letting the meat sit in the fridge take it out and make small little balls of
crab meat, after doing that you want to take a small little plate and fill it with bread crumbs.
2. 9. Take the balls of crab meat that you made and bread them in the small plate
of bread crumbs, after doing that to each one take a skillet and put a little bit of butter
in the pan and turn the pan on high.
10. Take each crab ball and place them in the pan, let each crab ball cook until
they have a golden color on each side after they are done cooking they are ready to be
served for a meal or an appetizer
Conclusion:
After done preparing the crab cakes, I will review and see what the students learned and see if
they previously knew how to make crab cakes their own way or if they understood how to make crab
cakes now after being taught.
