Designer babies is a very controversial topic for many reasons And for some people it can be a good
thing or a bad thing. What i designer baby is you might ask? Well its name designer babies is not
really it's official name. It's a procedure in which the fetus or embryo is created in fertilization in
which sometimes is because of its lack of certain genes. And they have a procedure in which they
modify the embryo by gene engineering. Designer babies to some are viewed as an awful thing or
'playing god' mostly because of their beliefs or simply because they feel as though it should be left
alone. Others believe that it is a good thing and that it can help with a lot of things. I am going to be

understanding of more positive things to improve on the human life. Another good think about
designer babies is that it can reduce risks of diseases which can prevent future deaths caused by
diseases, And with that it can also reduce inherited medical conditions for example obesity, and
cancer. And most of all it is not mandatory meaning if you do not wish to have your baby enhanced,
in any way you don't have to.
That overall is all the pros. Now heading into the cons, first off is the biggest concern that many
people have with this, is that if not done correctly it can cause defects. Or much worse death to the
baby, the process is not entirely safe. Or the parents could use this for changing the baby's
appearance for intentional purposes such as wanting their baby's eyes to be green or blue which may
be a problem since it's for superficial
