3. With 210 meters high and its spiral shape, Revolution Tower is one of the new and
imposing buildings in Panama. Its construction began in January 2007 and is located
on Calle 50, banking area.
4. With the Revolution Tower project, Panama takes advantage of all the architectural
projects of the region, using the latest technology and safety rules in the
construction of this intelligent building.
5. Structural generalities:
- The main feature is that thirty-two floors rotate on the central axis of the tower.
- Slabs of post-tensioned joists of variable dimension.
- Concrete plates 0.10 m thick.
- Rock foundations, piles and foundation plate.
6. The main structure is made of reinforced concrete, formed by a central core of cutting
walls and eight circular columns that form a circumference centered with respect to
the axis of the building. These 8 columns are joined by partially post-tensioned
reinforced concrete beams that form a circumference, also centered with respect to
the building's axis.
7. The basement floors are reinforced concrete and served to partially support
the basement walls during construction. The floors of upper parking and the
first 4 of offices, are of post-tensioned slabs supported by columns.
