2. Introduction
• We will discuss integrating technology into
education because it can be difficult for some
teachers and for other teachers it is like a walk in
the park.
• Adding technology to the classroom, serves as
another teacher for students to learn, grow and
develop
3. Change in
Organizations
• When adding technology into the mix, teachers should be
opened minded to the concept that students need to use
technology
• Change in organizations can hinder the students more than the
teachers because they must get accumulated to the change
• Teachers, school personnel, the principal should be mindful to
set codes or boundaries on the technology devices so that
students can not just do what they want as well as become an
easy target for predators
• School personnel, teachers, and the principal should examine
or test out the new software product for the school before
agreeing to use it
4. Examples of
true
technology
integration
Students using a Chromebook to play math
games concerning learning fractions, decimals
Students using tablets, iPads for story time
Students using digital cameras to observe the
growth of sunflower seeds that they planted
Teachers use the overhead projector, smart
boards to help assist with the lesson for the day
Teachers use email or the app to discuss or
message parents throughout they day
5. Outreach to the
community
• Schools can reach out to the community by
telephone, chat, social media, indeed, etc.
• Some schools use advertising to promote their
school to let others know that there is a school
within the community
• Schools can also use email addresses to reach out to
people in the community such as doctors, lawyers,
etc.
6. Information to and the
involvement of families
• Schools can use their app to communicate with
their families, and send out any information that
they parent may need to know
7. Funding Opportunities for schools and
school districts for technology integration
(Budgeting and Funding)
• Schools can hold fundraisers to help buy technology
that they need
• Schools can get surrounding communities to donate
old computers, laptops, etc.
• Parents can donate items
• When calculating the budget for the school year,
the school district can budget out how much money
they will need to buy technology devices
Editor's Notes
The introduction is introducing to those who are not in the education field how and why students need to use technology.
When schools change who they partner with concerning technology, they must ensure that tell or reach out to surrounding schools.
These are just some examples of how teachers and students use technology within the classroom.
This is how schools can use technology to reach the surrounding communities.
