2. Poster Analysis:
The posters main image is am extreme
close up of a figures face, the face is
extremely dark which emphisises the white
in the eye.
The background is based on a black
colour emphisising the eye further from the
dark figure and background and making the
writing also stand out.
The majority of the font is in red which
connotes blood, this suggests some form of
murder or death related scene within the
short film.
other than the connotation of blood and
the emphisis of the eye nothing is revealed
about the film in the poster.
THE EYES OF EDWARD JAMES
Short Film Synopsis:
tells the story of a man going back on a traumatic memory of the night
his wife was murdered, although he isnt being completely honest to his
doctor, neither was his wife honest with himon the night of her murder.
3. Short Film Poster Analysis:
Just like 'The Eyes Of Edward James' PURGE
has one extreme close up of a girls face
focusing mainly on her emotion. the image
reveals a sense of determination and fear.
Other than the emotion, nothing else is
exposed from the film. The main character is
clear as shes the only person in the shot but
apart from that the film is left unknown.
The dull colours used for the poster reflect
the emotions the girl is feeling throughout the
film.
The plain white writing is clear from the
background but doesnt stand out extremely
clear, this works effectively as the focus is
entirely on the image.
PURGE
Short Film Summary:
Struggling to mask the pain from years of sexual abuse, Joy finds herself
trapped in a secret addiction. But when her mother refuses to believe
the truth about her father, Joy tries to find her own way out.
4. Poster Analysis:
The poster seems slightly unorganised and
confusing which reflects the situation the girl is
in, the challenging narrative is revealed
throughout the poster uusing the blurry effects
and the difficult sight.
Duplicating the girls image suggests she is
living a lie or two different lives, this shows
theres the role of the woman with the perfect
relationship and career however theres the
disturbed dreaming catching up on her.
The warm colours reflect the situation at the
beginning of the film however when the
situation turns they totally contrast with it.
