Project 2

 1. 1. By: Kayla Cluff Is It Love? JENNI
 2. 2. A Little Bit About Jenni!
 3. 3. Facts, Inference, Assumption, Shared Value
 4. 4. Habits of Mind

Inquisitive:
 5. 5. Jenni is a full time student and works part time. She is eager to learn everyday to get to her goal in life. She has her life planned out and she knows what to do.

Systematic:
 6. 6. Jenni is systematic because every Sunday she goes to church and hangs out with her family. She teaches kids every Sunday morning and she believes that the kids teach her more than anyone has ever taught her and she looks forward to seeing them every week.

 7. 7. Vagueness

Vagueness:
 8. 8. “Guys who can joke around and have fun but at the same time be serious if needed.”

People have different perspectives of what a serious situation is and can confound some people. Qualifying something can help us understand what situation would she want him to be serious when the time came.

 9. 9. Language Community

Sports
 10. 10. -Jenni- “I am a sports oriented type of girl, so anything that has to do with sports is always fun for me.”
 11. 11. -She loves going to the Angel stadium. It's her second home during baseball season.
 12. 12. -She loves sports.

 13. 13. Emotional Appeal

Jenni appeals to sympathy: She explicates by saying, “But until then, I am stuck, like most college students, working a minimum wage job trying to survive the “real” world.”
 14. 14. -Most college students can see how it's hard being a college student and working at the same time when you just want to get to your goal with less work as possible. She wants to curtail as much time in school as she can to get to her goal.

Jenni appeals to authority. She says, “ I am who I am and I will never change who I am or what I stand for for a guy.”
 15. 15. - Jenni stands her ground and shows her authority for not changing who she is for a guy, which a lot of girls can relate because a lot of girls believe in that too. She doesn't want an unscrupulous guy.

 16. 16. Jenni's Match: Chase!
 17. 17. They share Language Community...

Jenni: “I am sports oriented type of girl, so anything that has to do with sports is always fun for me.”

Chase: “ I grew up playing any and all sports that my parents had time to get me too, and I played baseball through college.”

 18. 18. ...They are Just Plain Folks...

Jenni: “Guys who can joke around and have fun.”

Chase: “Looking for someone who can be a goof ball or acting like a kid when the opportunity presents itself.”

 19. 19. Jenni + Chase= Perfect Match! They both share language community and emotional appeal. They can act like kids when the opportunity comes and when they need to be serious they can. They can watch sports together and discourse to each other about sports without being confused....sounds like a perfect match to me!
