As part of a 12 week User Experience Design part-time course with General Assembly in Sydney, this was the final project that was presented and well received by mentors and peers. The course provided great industry insights into the process of how UX Designers can approach a problem and proceed to resolve it.
2. Problem statement
• I have some free time and need to decide or know what to
do and where to go along with friends who are in a similar
situation. (So many choices out there, where do I start? I feel
like karaoke..)

3. Survey/ Face-to-face interviews
• Most people find sources out there reliable e.g. Urban list, Broadsheet,
Time Out, Google, What’s On Sydney, Facebook, Twitter, Yelp.
• Atleast one-third of the participants find it difficult to decide what to do
and where to go

user rating (yay, may, nay)
• P2: Advanced Search, Recommendation engine, tailored events
• P3: More social media integration options, More city guides as sources, User
reviews

• Re-drew the sketches on Balsamiq
• Linked these wireframed screens on Flinto
• Gather feedback/ implement
• Patterns from user testing:
• How to view list of likes
• Terminology i.e. use conventional ‘Home’/ ‘Done’ instead of ‘Wind-up’.
• Using real data to be able to understand content and it’s intent.
• Smiley icons don’t look tappable in the prototype. Use conventional ‘thumbs-up’
• Update, Iterate and test
