3. “ I got what it takes to be a good leader.” -Kevin, wants to start his own business in solar, with his brother Jakobi, left wiring controls, wants to go to college for engineering. Nazario, seen right soldering pipes, wants to continue his education at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha. Project SOARR taught our youth participants basic technical skills , gave them hands-on experience working with a system, and created an opportunity to see a different future through supporting leadership development with our “Model for Leadership” Program. Eight of our nine original participants completed the program.
4. “ I enjoyed watching the young people gain confidence in themselves and their abilities.” -Ardie Monzel, a volunteer tech angel from Bristol Darleen Coleman, of RSVP, with Ardie, Susie, and Kent - three tech angels Project SOARR partners with local businesses and organizations to bring together all of our stakeholders. Key players in this year’s project include Hot Water Products , the Retired Senior Volunteer Program , The Boys and Girls Club , Lee’s Plumbing , and the Town of Somers .
