5 hour energy 	We are committed to helping people find the strength and energy for the day. Whether a hard working construction worker hitting that afternoon wall, a college student needing that extra pip in their step for a work out or sports, to be alert for a long drive, or even for an activity packed weekend, 5 Hour Energy can abolish that awful feeling of fatigue.  	Its convenience is and quick intake beat coffee while hosting the same amount of caffeine as a cup of leading premium coffee. There is even kosher, caffeine free (diabetic), and extra strength versions of our product to fit different needs.  	For zero sugar and only four calories this instant boost of energy is a dream come true.
ENERGY, energy, energy 5 Hour Energy is all about the boost in vitality. Therefore the theme must be loud and lively to support this idea. The first simple update is to reinvent its website. Although the simplicity of it is good in the sense that it is easy to maneuver more gusto is needed to create atmosphere for the product on its webpage. The layout could sport the main colors of red, yellow, and blue with the logo large and in the center. On top of that boxes would be made overlapping it containing all of the necessary information. The tabs featuring ‘Home’, ‘How To Use’, ‘FAQS’, etc. need not be changed. Also generic, upbeat music would be another great way of boosting the energy of the site and product. A website needs to have personality and excellent and accurate promotion of your product.
Facebook & twitter 	The targeted audience of 5 Hour Energy is anyone 18+ who could use a boost in their day. Although some of the older audience does not subscribe to social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter it is still a great avenue to market our product. The fan page for Facebook is excellent. There it shows the product and allows people to like and follow their page as well as provide links to contests concerning the product, related Youtube videos, blogs, pictures, etc. It also shows the product information as well as a way to directly send a message to product support. The easy access to these things makes this product extremely marketable.  	Tagging 5 Hour Energy in Facebook and Twitter is also a fantastic and easy way of advertising the product to friends and family. The system of liking a fan page, receiving coupons, and advertising them through a tag via social media is easy and cost efficient. 5 Hour Energy has done extremely well in this regard and should continue their fun facts and status updates about the product.
Empty bottle brainchild contest 	An excellent example of a contest is the Empty Bottle Brainchild Contest. The general outline of the contest was to create a unique and interesting piece of art using actual empty bottles of 5 Hour Energy. First place receives 365 (a years’ worth) of 5 Hour Energy. Second place will be given 6 months and third 3 months. The contest is fun, humorous, and interesting to both the company and the public. Everyone can enjoy this contest and its creations.  	In many ways the Empty Bottle Brainchild is brilliant. It gets many people involved with 5 Hour Energy by keeping their thoughts on possible ideas. It creates a general likeness for the company and product because the contest isn’t a ridiculous task and the prizes are great. The fact that real 5 Hour Energy bottle must be used is also key because it makes those involved in the contest drink more of the product in order to create artistic master pieces. In the end people of fun making the art, seeing the finished product, and the submissions for the contest may be used for future advertising.
Success through seasons 	Fortunately 5 Hour Energy is not bound by season and remains in full swing much of the time. In the summer and spring or plain warmer states people tend to be more active as well as working. 5 Hour Energy can tend to their needs for a better drive. Sports and exercising is not limited to outdoors and therefore no matter the season, weather, or even time of day can prevent someone from working up a sweat and boost with 5 Hour Energy to push them further. Even in winter when people tend to stay indoors the cold zaps the energy out of people yet 5 Hour Energy is here to keep them pumped up and moving.  	Success will be monitored by the demand and purchase of the product. 5 Hour Energy is a well-known product and the name says the purpose. Working harder to connect people through social media is always an excellent move for it is an extremely popular source. The weakest point of the product is the doubt of whether the product is healthy and if it truly works.
Blogging & Product placement 	Blogging is an important part of the social internet. Utilized correctly it can be a very persuasive testimonial for a product.  Although testimonials are already used by 5 Hour Energy it would be excellent to combine a popular blogger with a testimonial. A person discussing how excellent a product is more effective and believable if you know or like the person that is promoting the product. It makes them credible.  	This could even extend from people blogging to shows promoting 5 Hour Energy. Product placement can also be very useful if done correctly, perhaps in a popular film. A great example of this is GMC for Transformers. The living robots are extremely powerful and durable which transfers those attributes and feelings into the GMC cars. Imagine if Rocky was shown drinking 5 Hour Energy in his films.
A healthy start… 	The general concern with 5 Hour Energy is whether the energy shot is healthy or not. The website does a good job showing potential consumers that 5 Hour Energy contains a blend of B-Vitamins, amino acids, and essential nutrients. They compare these to fruits that contain these such as broccoli, avocados, apples, and bananas which gives comfort for the fact that natural and healthy fruits also contain them.  	This should be played up more. The public knows what the product does but what tends to hold them back is health concerns. The product seems too good to be true and is therefore written off many times to be unhealthy as the catch to something so good. Advertisements and even the bottle itself should scream the ok health factor to gain more attention and support. The advertising for its energy boost can take a hit because the name itself is self-explanatory and therefore won’t be lost in the advertisement.
Think outside of the box 	Although 5 Hour Energy ‘s main focus is to give energy to those doing physical exercise, tired, and working there are other avenues to explore. An example of this is 5 Hour Energy working with an internet marketing site called Media Crush. Together they make initiatives in other areas of life, in particular partying night life.  	It began by Media Crush advertising an unknown product that was simply ‘The Energy Shot.’ Microsites were made and service blends began such as search engine optimization, product promotional campaigns, marketing, and feedback reports. The product was introduced at night clubs and a Bar Trade show. Also a few restaurants, liquor stores, and nighttime establishments were given the product to provide tastings. The name 5 Hour Energy was added later with the niche created and was successfully named and integrated.
Budget and timeline 	On average a company uses 9-12% of the annual budget for advertising and promotion. To help boost the health promotion aspect and extend the outreach of people for advertising 5 Hour Energy 15-20% of the annual budget has been suggested for use of advertising and marketing. Initially there should be a heavy hit to make the promotions very well-known which makes them spread easier. Something weak will not gain attention of the public.  	In the past year 5 Hour Energy has taken over a total of 12% of the energy drink consumption which is roughly $9 billion sales. Estimated to be using $90 million on advertising, briefly spending $100 million or more to heavily promote the health factor could silence that worry from the mind of the consumer. We hope to achieve better results in one years’ time.  	With marked improvement of the product health concern and those promoting and using the product great gain is to be expected and more of the public will benefit from 5 Hour Energy.

Imagine if Rocky was shown drinking 5 Hour Energy in his films.
  • 8. A healthy start… The general concern with 5 Hour Energy is whether the energy shot is healthy or not. The website does a good job showing potential consumers that 5 Hour Energy contains a blend of B-Vitamins, amino acids, and essential nutrients. They compare these to fruits that contain these such as broccoli, avocados, apples, and bananas which gives comfort for the fact that natural and healthy fruits also contain them. This should be played up more. The public knows what the product does but what tends to hold them back is health concerns. The product seems too good to be true and is therefore written off many times to be unhealthy as the catch to something so good. Advertisements and even the bottle itself should scream the ok health factor to gain more attention and support. The advertising for its energy boost can take a hit because the name itself is self-explanatory and therefore won’t be lost in the advertisement.
  • 9. Think outside of the box Although 5 Hour Energy ‘s main focus is to give energy to those doing physical exercise, tired, and working there are other avenues to explore. An example of this is 5 Hour Energy working with an internet marketing site called Media Crush. Together they make initiatives in other areas of life, in particular partying night life. It began by Media Crush advertising an unknown product that was simply ‘The Energy Shot.’ Microsites were made and service blends began such as search engine optimization, product promotional campaigns, marketing, and feedback reports. The product was introduced at night clubs and a Bar Trade show. Also a few restaurants, liquor stores, and nighttime establishments were given the product to provide tastings. The name 5 Hour Energy was added later with the niche created and was successfully named and integrated.

To help boost the health promotion aspect and extend the outreach of people for advertising 5 Hour Energy 15-20% of the annual budget has been suggested for use of advertising and marketing. Initially there should be a heavy hit to make the promotions very well-known which makes them spread easier. Something weak will not gain attention of the public. In the past year 5 Hour Energy has taken over a total of 12% of the energy drink consumption which is roughly $9 billion sales. Estimated to be using $90 million on advertising, briefly spending $100 million or more to heavily promote the health factor could silence that worry from the mind of the consumer. We hope to achieve better results in one years’ time. With marked improvement of the product health concern and those promoting and using the product great gain is to be expected and more of the public will benefit from 5 Hour Energy.
