1. Evaluation for my short interview for media – Kate Liddle
What I thought went well?
What I thought went well in the process of creating my short interview, was finding the right
locations to filmin and choosing the correct music to go over the parts of the video that I
wanted there to be music. The camera angles I used where good because I included two
separate close up angles and a far out camera shot. I also thought that the actor that I had
asked to be in my interview short filmanswered the questions with great answers.
What I could improve on next time if I could go back to it?
The only thing I would change about my interview view short film is that I could have
included 2 more questions and also I would have got better music plus a better background
colour for the start screen and end screen.
What are the strengths of my short interview film?
The strengths of my interview film was asking the relevant questions to the person that I
was interviewing for my short interview film.
And also finding the correct music that I could put over the top of my short film also finding
the right locations and camera angles for my short film.
Before I started to film my footage I needed to fill in some forms like a risk assessment form,
storyboard, camera shot lists and a location release and all the forms that I have filled out
and completed I have uploaded onto my word press account and also put a copy of them in
my folder.
Weakness of my short film
The weakness of my short film was trying to transfer the footage from photo sharing on
iCloud and transferring the footage on to iMovie and then my other weakness from doing
this was trying to save it onto my desk but it wouldn’t work so then I had to email the
footage to myself and then save it on my desktop that way. And then trying to upload the
footage onto YouTube and then upload the final finished footage onto my WordPress
account.
What things did I include in my short interview film?
The things that I included when I editing my short interview film was I included music and a
voice over when I was asking the questions to the interviewee and I also included an
introduction card and also an end card.
2. HOW DID IT COMPARE WITH YOUR ORIGINAL PROPOSAL?
Well it was slightly different the way I planned it the first time because I was planning on
doing an adventure film but I decided to change my whole idea of what I wanted to film
for my short film.
How your choices in pre - production (e.g. location and cast) helped you make the film?
The locations that I decided to use for my filming locations was Barnard castle, my
dining room and the kitchen also the Back garden. The cast I had in my short film
documentary was my mother who was answering the questions that I was asking her
and alongside her was my border terrier.
Any technical information (e.g. the techniques you used to produce your film
To film the whole documentary, I used my iPhone six camera and to edit it I used iMovie
and the place where I collected my music from was YouTube audio library and it was
called Mr.- tea. And after I finished editing and finding the right music to go with the
documentary I then uploaded the final footage onto my YouTube account and then onto
my word press account.
