Tropical rain forests in India are found in very wet regions receiving over 250 cm of average annual rainfall. These climatic forests have tall trees over 45 meters high and abundant shrubs, woody climbers, and epiphytes due to high rainfall. Tropical rain forests are located in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Western coasts, parts of Karnataka and Annamalai hills, Assam, and Bengal.
