This document provides examples of commonly confused word pairs in English and example sentences using each word to illustrate the differences. It contains 10 pairs of words that are often mixed up including loose/lose, effect/affect, there/their, exiting/exciting, then/than. For each pair, it gives two response options to choose from to complete the example sentence using the word correctly. This is intended as an exercise to help distinguish between words that native English speakers often confuse in their writing.
