This is meant to be a quick guide to VideoMakerFX to get you up and going in no time. The
video training can also help you with the use of the software.!

Once you install VideoMakerFX: Launch VideoMakerFX from your Start Menu on Windows or
in your Applications folder on a Mac.!

Log In To The Software!
Log In to the software using the same username and password you use to log in to our
member’s area. If you change the password in the member’s area, the change will also reflect
to access the software.!
!
You will need to be online and connected to the Internet to use this software.!
!

Main Interface!
The main interface is designed to be simple and easy to use.!
!
!
Create Project = Creates a new project
for your new video.!
!
Open Project = Open an existing project
you already have made or saved.!
!
Save Project = Save your project and all
the work you have done on it.!
!

!
The “Add Slide” button will add slides and scenes to your video. A
slide is the foundation of every part of your video. There are over
240+ different “Slides” which may be based around a theme and
have varying layouts.!

Add Slide Screen!
Add your Slides and Scenes Here!
Select the Theme you wish to use on the left side, your layout on the centre, and preview as
well as read any description available for the slide on the Right!

Scroll through to see all the Themes and Layouts available. Click the layout you want to see the
preview and to be able to add it to your Project.!
!
Once you have selected your slide just click “Add Slide”!
!
You can mix and match slides, there is no need to only use one theme per video!spbYes wrma

Once you have added your slides, you will see all your slides on the Lower Filmstrip which
shows you a thumbnail view of the slide:!

button to duplicate the slide and a button to delete the

On the working preview window, you can Pause/Play your slide. The slide’s title will also be
shown at the top.!

These tabs configure the contents and the look of your slides.!

Configure your text and content here.!

Select the Text Area under “Text
Element” and edit the text under “Your
Text”!

Customize the colour, the text size,
text alignment, font and text effect with
the options below!

Image Configuration!
!
Configure your images and
background image here.!

Select the Image Area under “Image
Element”. Then browse for your image
file or use our gallery of images and
graphics by clicking “Open Gallery”!

Clear the image by clicking “Clear
Image”!

Adjust scaling and aspect ratio on
most images by using the slider
options below.!

Shapes Configuration!
!
Shapes (Shape 1, Shape 2, Shape
3 etc…) control flat colors of certain
objects. It depends on the slide what
objects can be controlled.!
!
The panel will present you with the
shapes. Click the “Enabled” check
button to disable the shape, this will
also easily show you what shape
this is.!
!
Change the color of the shape by
clicking the color box next to the
enabled check.!
!
!
!
!
Shape BG always controls the background flat color of the slide you’re working on, so as to
have an easy way of changing the overall theme of the slide.!
!
!
!
Animation Configuration!
!
Animations add instant life to your
slides and very nice background
effects.!
!
Select the animation you want by
clicking the “Up” and “Down”
arrows of the boxes with the “0”
digit.!
!
0 means the animation is OFF!
!

8. Insert Video Clips!
!
Certain slides support adding pure
video clips. These slides are
featured under the “Video” theme.!
!
Once you have selected a slide
that supports video, go to this tab
and select “Video Area 1”.!
!
You can now insert a video clip to
play.!
!
Depending on the slide’s length
will determine how long the video
clip will play for.!
!
The video clip will not import any
of the video’s audio.!
!
!
!
Lower Right Slide Options!

!
Slide Delay = Add additional time to the slide (in seconds) so that it is made longer. 0 means
no time has been added. Useful to customize the length of your slides. This will reflect in
“Preview Project” and in your exported video.!

Background Effect = Apply instant background effects to your slide. 0 means the default effect
for that slide.!
!
Remove Slide = Deletes the slide from the project!
!
Move Back = Moves the slide back in the project!
!
Move Forward = Moves the slide forward in the project!
!

Audio, Project Preview and Export Project Options!

Audio Settings!
Configure the audio for your video. Supports 2 tracks of audio, one meant for background music
and another meant for a voice track. Import .mp3 files.!
!
Enable First Track = Select Audio from the pre built in audio on the left, or import your own
audio. Configure the volume of the audio using “Audio Volume”. Preview and play the audio to
make sure the volume is right.!
!
Enable Second Track = Import your own .mp3 or record from your microphone directly in the
software by clicking the “Record” button.!

Preview Project!
Previews your project the
way it will be played.
Please note that at this
time it doesn’t play your
audio, just plays your
slides in order as they are
set up along with any Slide
Delays configured.!

Export Project!
Export your project to .mp4
video format.!

Configure where you want to
export your video to.!

Size:!
Configures the video output
resolution. Suggested option
is to leave on default for HD
1280 x 720 output that looks
great!!

Quality:!
Configures the video bit rate. Suggestion option is to leave on default quality “Average” for best
combination of quality and file size.!

Export Start:!
Starts the video export process! The Final Step!!
!
Open Video Folder!
Opens the default export video folder inside the VideoMakerFX installation files.
