This document discusses the simulation of aircraft ditching using an empirical algorithm developed for a master's thesis. It presents the aircraft motion equations used in the simulation and describes how the aircraft was modeled using 220 cross-sections with over 600 points each. The simulation results for time histories of angle of attack are compared to scaled model ditch tests.
