Inspirational costume designs

3. WHY?
 I have taken a lot of inspiration for my costume design for my actress
from existing characters such as Bella Swan from Twilight and Hermione
Granger from Harry Potter. I have chosen these characters in particular as
they each undergo their own struggles, in some cases depression, and each
battle issues which all teenagers, particularly girls, can relate to. I feel like
their costumes connote an average teenager who is not overly image
conscious and does not pride themselves on keeping up to date with the
latest designer trends as they have bigger problems and value different
things in life. This is relevant when deciding a costume for my actress as if
she were to wear new designer clothing it would be more representative of a
stereotypical teenage girl which we tend to see in American teen movies.

This look seems easy enough
to recreate as all of the
products can be bought on the
high street for reasonable and
affordable prices. If the weather
was not too cold then my
actress would be able to wear a
costume alike to this one.

recreate for my actress if the
weather were to be cold. This
is the most probable costume
as when I have researched the
weather on the day I am
planning to shoot, the
temperature is expected to be
between 6 and 13 degrees.
