3. MCS
Monogram Communication Strategies (MCS) is an independent PR agency.
Our mainstream business is focused on services for IT companies, but we are
also active in other sectors. Our clientele includes large – private and public –
companies, medium-sized and small businesses, each requiring a specific PR
approach. This demands a service-oriented culture, a strong customer focus,
fast response times, creativity and flexibility – towards both the press and our
customers. These are our distinguishing core competencies. MCS is a very in-
formal organization where team spirit is the driving force (high tech with a
high touch is our slogan). For some clients we also service the Belgian market
for which we can co-operate with local independent agencies like ourselves.

the Netherlands and Robert was an IT business journalist.

End-to-end services
MCS delivers turnkey PR projects, from consultancy to full implementation and
execution of PR campaigns and media training. Our team of experienced pro-
fessionals responds flexibly to the needs of our customers and deploys exter-
nal specialists where necessary. This means that we can offer all the services
and facilities of a large company with the speed and commitment of a small
one.
Our vision
We see public relations as the successful communication of corporate objec-
tives to the various target groups through the press and/or other intermediar-
ies. We believe this can only be optimally realized by fully understanding the
‘business’ of our customers so that we can liaise with them in considering all
the aspects of their organization. In other words, as the advisor and sounding
board of the senior management, we have the expertise to oversee the whole
spectrum and to determine strategies and tactics. But we also specialize in the
planning and implementation of PR campaigns and projects. Naturally, we do
all of this in close collaboration with our customers. In fact, we prefer to oper-
ate as an extension of our customers.

5. MCS and the press
MCS acts as intermediary between its customers and the press. In fact, we
serve two groups of customers. We aim to achieve a personal and informal
relationship with the members of the press so that we can create an open and
honest dialog between our customers and journalists, bloggers and other in-
fluentials. We also support our customers in media updates on new develop-
ments, ensuring that the press gets fast and clear answers to questions.
What’s more, we take charge of practical issues through - for example - call
handling, running of the press office, providing illustrations, product reviews
and background information.
MCS uses technology to streamline its business processes and is fully self-
supporting when it comes to the maintenance of its IT infrastructure and the
implementation of new technologies. MCS’s website has a database driven
press section (www.mcsonline.nl/pers/) which provides journalists with all
relevant information, background documentation and visuals.
Targeted
MCS rejects the commercial humbug, heavy reports, never-ending consulting
procedures and theoretical drivel that impede a targeted, flexible approach.
Our PR approach is geared to quality and results.
