3. The promise of the Gospel
Romans 1:1-2
• Literally “announced before” by prophets who penned
the old testament.
• Luke 24:44 Now He said to them, “These are My words
which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all
things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses
and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.

4. The Person of the Gospel
Romans 1:3-4

Romans 1:5
• For obedience to the faith among all nations.
• The gospel is designed to produce an obedient faith in
Jesus Christ. (Mt. 28:18-20 & Mk 16:15-16)

6. The Power of the Gospel
Romans 1:6-16
• The gospel transforms those who obey it and we
become sanctified.

• The good news is such a good news that we can’t
help but share it with everybody.
• When we realize what we have been redeemed
from we can’t help but have praise and share it with
others.
