To be Rooted in "The Whole Counsel of God" Acts 17:11 (ISV) These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
  7. 7. MANILA FELLOWSHIP OUR GOALS •BECOME BEREANS Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you
  8. 8. MANILA FELLOWSHIP OUR GOALS •BECOME BEREANS Romans 15:4 (ISV) For everything that was written long ago was written to instruct us, so that we might have hope through the endurance and encouragement that the Scriptures give us.

They kept up- to- date in their understanding of the times and knew what Israel should do.
