DEFINITION
It refers to the situation
where a particular number of
people meet face to face and
through free oral interaction,
originate, share and discuss
ideas to arrive at a decision or
solution to a problem.

Why group discussion
should be the first criteria
for selecting testers?
The commonly asked questions to a job
aspirant are:
– Tell me something about yourself?
– Throw some light on your strengths
and weaknesses
– Why do you think our organization
should hire you?
– Salary negotiations and joining date
Do you think an individual
can work alone and produce
results in an organization ?
Through group discussions, the
interviewer can evaluate how
well an individual can perform
in a team, and also his creative
skills and intelligence quotient,
how good a leader he is.

Structure and Objective
• A group of candidates is given a topic or
case for discussion within a given time
limit.
• The group sits in circle or U-shape
• Topic may be given to judge your public
speaking talent.
• The examiner does not interfere once he
announced the topic.
• Maintain cordiality and free expression
of thought and opinion.
• The examiner panel observes and
evaluates
