Overview
The project based on the affordability housing has necessary
objective and goals. These goals are not just meant to be
constructed properly but are also to be measured in between so
that further improvements can be met. Every objective
mentioned carries different results and requirement from one
and another, but having integrated outcomes in favor of
affordability housing. The correct data collection is also
important in dealing with the property as any misleading
information may spoil the spirit of the project in future.
Therefore, there should be the holistic approach in handling the
project. Providing the just home for the living is the only aim of
the project but providing a place for living that serves the
chance for improved living with cleanliness. Methods/
InstrumentResult of objectives
The has been two to three objectives like assessing the potential
owner eligibility, cleaning surrounding and generating funds to
meet affordability.
Potential owner: allotting a house to a citizen is not as easy
task, it requires lots of documents to be prepared. But as this
project aims at providing ease to the participants and
implementing the project on suitable timings. The requirements
of the documents will be application form that participant have
to fill properly then after that acceptance he or she have to
provide Sale or Rent DEED, NOC from electricity department
and pollution control board, NIC and this will not take more
than a week. This process will create the authenticity in
selecting the participants (Nitin, 2016).
Cleaning: the process of the cleaning depends on the number of
people employed as when there will be less number cleaning
may take time, so a significant number of the supers will be
employed to clean the surroundings. The expected time taken
will be 5 to 6 days. This will increase the value of living.
Funds raising: providing affordability can be met when there
will be enough funds reserved in advance. Such effort will
require lots of marketing campaigns. Marketing is vital in
accumulating funds from the government and other organization
to provide them specific information they need. Even after
campaign there high possibilities of a personal meeting to
provide the deepest understanding of the project. This process
will take almost a month. Such objective will result in providing
ease in meeting projected financial needs.Data required
The tool used for assessing the goals and objectives will be
balanced scorecard. This is widely used by the multinational
companies and nonprofit organizations too. The data required
for assessment and management are financial, participants,
internal process and growth targets. Such scored will serve as
guidance through providing information that where project have
reached (Kaplan & Norton, 2005).Collection of data
The collection of the data will be inserted through the
questionnaire and will be filled by the employees. After
receiving the information from the questionnaire the results
about the goals will be updated and everybody will come to
know the measurement of the goals like how much still remains
to be accomplished. Here the questionnaire will be in the soft
form so that data extracted can be easily transmitted to the
database designed for the scorecard. Database system carries the
potential in updating the results and such outcomes will be
made prominent on every employee who is responsible for
accomplishing the goals.

The main purpose of the project is to add easiness in the life’s
basic need that is acquiring the affordable house. The designed
project is not just meant for the people who purchase ownership
of the house, but also who seek comfortable life in rented
housing. Low-income people of the city hardly meet their living
requirements and acquiring a house at affordable prices is still a
dream of many people. Their dream can be turned into reality
through integrated method. Such project will render high cost
due to fits requirement needed to conduct of the construction,
marketing, and verification processes.
The nonprofit organizations and government subsidies like
Community Development division, Affordable Housing Trust
Fund and so many other sources of endowment can create
pathways for citizens to live peacefully and enhance their
livelihood within the limits of their affordability. The diverse
number of institution have to work together as team and these
will include members likes, banks for utilizing their services of
accounts where credentials of the house owners will deposit
along with amount, non-profit and profit oriented organizations
because non-profit organizations will provide funds and profit
oriented will give their services in constructing the buildings
and marketing firms enabling the project to reach participants
through proper specific information and government. The
government will play the vital role in enabling the project to
meet the objectives and goals (Affordable Housing Project
Request For Proposals, 2016).Introduction
People want to live peacefully in their four walls by considering
a home. But the housing prices are so high that citizens not only
make effort in changing their high rented house and not even
make intention purchase their own house. The problem also lies
in the house providing systems that have always aimed at
benefiting their own self and irrespective of participant's
affordability. The housing systems also make bulky installments
systems due to which people avoid purchasing new and heavy
advanced deposit which goes beyond the imagination of rented
houses.
This project will create opportunities for the people who
desperately want to have their own house or rented the house at
affordable prices. People with low income cannot afford good
houses and the locality where they want to live. The project will
enable the chance for low-income people to have rented a house
in better society or to own a house forever.
In order to acquire the house, both category participants have to
meet different needs. For owing the house the participant’s will
be asked AMI below 80% of their income for single family
whereas housing cooperatives are required to create AMI below
60% income. The CCD will be considering the maximum limit
of $60, 000 per unit. A smaller amount from AHTF 85% will be
invested in the required cost. For rented housing participants
are required to create below 60% of their incomes and its rent
will not exceed the 30% of their gross income along with
utilities. The CCD investment per unit will remain same like in
owning the house. Whereas AHTF procedure will also remain
same like in owning the house (Affordable Housing Project
Request For Proposals, 2016).Goals and Objective
Providing housing facility is not an easy job it requires a huge
effort in granting eligibility of the owner. The following criteria
are necessary to meet.
A. The problem arises in settling the housing schemes for low-
income people when their eligibility is not judged properly.
The participants have to meet loan terms and funding limits.
Loans are limited up to the 50% of total development cost, loan
terms include issuance of loans with Land Use Restriction under
registry deed (Housing-Economic-Development, 2016).
B. Participants are wanted have a healthy life due to the
surroundings, this can be enabled through the pollution free
environment. There will be no such sound pollution, the factory
near or any other health giving hazardous. Therefore, schemes
designed to fund more to a healthy community can be
accomplished. If such funds are denied the participants may
also suffer (Enterprise, 2016).
C. Goals
· The affordable, clean city for low-income people,
· There will be housing opportunities without discrimination
· The new city will allow low income to at least have a home.
In order to meet these goals, there will be a proper assessment
of every individual and organization connected through various
ways (Box, 2016).
D. All decisions will be made through the policy guidance
registered with the government and to the organizations that
provide funds for the project. Every policy will be designed
within the business ethics boundaries.Resources

OL 330 Final Project Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
Professionals working in the field of business, especially in
nonprofit organizations, often submit proposals to implement
business ideas or projects. These
proposals are designed to address a need among a specific
population or community. Developing an effective grant
proposal requires content knowledge,
writing proficiency, strong research skills, creativity, and
organizational ability. It is also important to have a clear
understanding of the project needs, goals and
objectives, design, and your role for implementing the project.
In this project, you will imagine that you have been hired in a
leadership role for a nonprofit organization and are asked to
develop a grant proposal that will
identify a need among a specific population of people or
members in a local community that lacks resources or services.
You will approach this proposal by first
identifying a problem or need among a specific population or
members in a community that lack economic, financial, cultural,
or social resources or services.
Your grant proposal will focus on acquiring funding to achieve
a desired outcome to resolve this need. You might address a
lack of affordable housing or
dependable child care; domestic violence; homelessness; lack of
transportation in a rural area; or better paying jobs and job
training. These are just a few
examples as many other needs may also be appropriate.
This assessment addresses the following course outcomes:
lop problem or needs statements that clearly articulate
population or community needs for the development of
nonprofit project initiatives
outcomes of a nonprofit organization’s grant initiatives over
time
potential in meeting and sustaining nonprofit organizations’
needs
proposals that reflect ethical principles or practices
project that responsibly utilizes grant funding
The project is divided into two milestones, which will be
submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold
learning and ensure quality final
submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules
Two and Three. The final project is due in Module Seven.
Prompt
Your grant proposal should be addressed to one potential grant
funder from whom you are seeking approval. The grant proposal
should answer the following
prompt: What project are you proposing to accomplish, and how
would it impact the participants or community served?
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed
in your proposal:
I. Introduction
In this section you will grab your potential funder’s attention by
presenting the problem you have identified and how you intend
to address it.
A. Provide a brief, high-level overview of your proposal that
addresses the purpose of the project, what you want to
accomplish, how you want to
impact participants, the role of key stakeholders and partners,
and what specific changes you want to see in the people served
and in the
community.
B. Evaluate the challenges faced by the participants in your
proposal with respect to their associated need. This is not about
listing as many
challenges as you can but specific challenges these participants
face and the need illustrated by these challenges. These
challenges can either be
economic, financial, cultural, or social.
II. Goals and Objectives
In this section you will choose a “starting point” for your
participants. In grant proposals there must be a problem or need
that you are trying to meet in
the community and concrete facts and data that support that
need. Where do you want your project to intervene on the issues
to be addressed?
Thinking about this will help you set realistic goals and
objectives for the project.
A. Develop a statement of the problem or need for your project,
including justification of why the problem or need requires
intervention.
B. Evaluate the project’s strengths (things that will have a
positive impact on the participants, i.e., those being benefited
by the project) and
weaknesses (things that may negatively impact the participants
while involved in the project).
C. What goals and objectives are appropriate to this project?
How are they aligned to one another? For example, your goal
might be to reduce
unemployment in a low-income community. Your objective that
aligns with this goal could be to create a job-training program
to assist members
in the low-income community in achieving gainful employment.
D. What decisions will you make for this project based on
ethical boundaries? Support your reasoning with examples of
how you would increase
safety for the participants in the projects. For example, one of
the ethical principles to ensure safety of the participants might
be to establish
accountability in the project.
III. Methods/Instruments
In this section you will discuss the results you expect to see and
explain how you will measure the progress and success of the
project in relation to the
goals and objectives.
A. What are the expected results of this project specific to the
goals and objectives you established?
B. What type of data is necessary to determine whether you are
meeting the project goals and objectives with respect to whether
your participants
or community improve over time? Is the data qualitative or
quantitative in nature?
C. What are the appropriate methods or instruments (e.g.,
survey, questionnaire, observation) that will facilitate the
collection of this particular
type of data?
IV. Budget Strategies
In this section you will develop a budget to responsibly
implement the funding for your project. Consider every cost you
will have to incur to implement
your project. Examples of expenses include salaries, benefits,
mileage, equipment, supplies, marketing, postage, and rent.
Also, you can address if you
need equipment, such as computers for your staff. You must
include a realistic expense that breaks up your budget into
different categories.
A. Include an overall budget for your project that addresses key
categories. (This will be your actual budget in a table or
spreadsheet.)
B. Provide a budget narrative in which you explain your budget
in detail and justify the costs in each category in order to prove
that you will
responsibly manage the grant funds. (For example, in the
personnel category, you may want to explain that you need a
new administrative
assistant to handle the amount of paperwork that will begin to
pour in once the project is implemented. Your budget narrative
should be concise
and brief.)
V. Funding
Grants are often funded by more than one funding partner.
While this proposal is addressed to just one potential funder, in
this section you will outline
all the potential funding sources that might fit the project to
demonstrate to the funder that funding for the project is
sustainable beyond what you will
secure from this funder. Funders may include the federal
government or public and private foundations.
A. Describe the potential sources of funding you have found for
your project. (Examples can include program support, seed
money to start the
project, or funding for operating expenses, research, emergency
funds, or annual funds.) Justify why each might be a potential
fit for meeting
the organization’s needs.
B. How you will establish relationships with the funders to
obtain additional funding in the future? Justify your choices.
For example, you may
want to establish a relationship with funders by contacting them
by phone or sending a letter to provide an update on the
progress of the
project and to solicit additional funding. Remember to always
keep funders in the loop by offering information such as
newsletters, annual
reports, etc. to maintain a relationship with the funders.
Milestones
Milestone One: Statement of Need or Problem Paper
In Module Two, you will submit a 2–3 page paper that identifies
a need or problem faced by a population or community that you
plan to address in your final
project. The paper should identify the gaps in meeting the need
and lack of available resources surrounding the population or
community. This milestone will be
graded with the Milestone One Rubric.
Milestone Two: Methods and Instruments Paper
In Module Three, you will research and write about the methods
or instruments you will use for assessing the objectives, goals,
and outcomes of your final
proposal. Remember, instruments should be able to demonstrate
that they are reliable and valid. The 2–3 page paper should
include participants, key personnel,
data collection, and project timelines. This milestone will be
graded with the Milestone Two Rubric.
Final Project Rubric
Guidelines for Submission: Your proposal must follow APA
formatting guidelines in addition to the following: double
spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font,
one-inch margins. Page length requirements: 6–8 pages.
Instructor Feedback: This activity uses an integrated rubric in
Blackboard. Students can view instructor feedback in the Grade
Center. For more information,
review these instructions.

These goals are not just meant to be constructed properly but are also to be measured in between so that further improvements can be met. Every objective mentioned carries different results and requirement from one and another, but having integrated outcomes in favor of affordability housing. The correct data collection is also important in dealing with the property as any misleading information may spoil the spirit of the project in future. Therefore, there should be the holistic approach in handling the project. Providing the just home for the living is the only aim of the project but providing a place for living that serves the chance for improved living with cleanliness. Methods/ InstrumentResult of objectives The has been two to three objectives like assessing the potential owner eligibility, cleaning surrounding and generating funds to meet affordability. Even after campaign there high possibilities of a personal meeting to provide the deepest understanding of the project. This process will take almost a month. Such objective will result in providing ease in meeting projected financial needs.Data required The tool used for assessing the goals and objectives will be balanced scorecard. This is widely used by the multinational companies and nonprofit organizations too. The data required for assessment and management are financial, participants, internal process and growth targets. Such scored will serve as guidance through providing information that where project have reached (Kaplan & Norton, 2005).Collection of data The collection of the data will be inserted through the questionnaire and will be filled by the employees. After receiving the information from the questionnaire the results about the goals will be updated and everybody will come to know the measurement of the goals like how much still remains to be accomplished. Here the questionnaire will be in the soft form so that data extracted can be easily transmitted to the database designed for the scorecard. Database system carries the potential in updating the results and such outcomes will be made prominent on every employee who is responsible for accomplishing the goals. References Kaplan, R. • 5. oriented will give their services in constructing the buildings and marketing firms enabling the project to reach participants through proper specific information and government. The government will play the vital role in enabling the project to meet the objectives and goals (Affordable Housing Project Request For Proposals, 2016).Introduction People want to live peacefully in their four walls by considering a home. But the housing prices are so high that citizens not only make effort in changing their high rented house and not even make intention purchase their own house. The problem also lies in the house providing systems that have always aimed at benefiting their own self and irrespective of participant's affordability. The housing systems also make bulky installments systems due to which people avoid purchasing new and heavy advanced deposit which goes beyond the imagination of rented houses. This project will create opportunities for the people who desperately want to have their own house or rented the house at affordable prices. People with low income cannot afford good houses and the locality where they want to live. The project will enable the chance for low-income people to have rented a house in better society or to own a house forever. In order to acquire the house, both category participants have to meet different needs. For owing the house the participant’s will be asked AMI below 80% of their income for single family whereas housing cooperatives are required to create AMI below 60% income. The CCD will be considering the maximum limit of $60, 000 per unit. A smaller amount from AHTF 85% will be invested in the required cost. For rented housing participants are required to create below 60% of their incomes and its rent will not exceed the 30% of their gross income along with utilities. The CCD investment per unit will remain same like in owning the house. Whereas AHTF procedure will also remain same like in owning the house (Affordable Housing Project Request For Proposals, 2016).Goals and Objective Providing housing facility is not an easy job it requires a huge

The problem arises in settling the housing schemes for low- income people when their eligibility is not judged properly. The participants have to meet loan terms and funding limits. Loans are limited up to the 50% of total development cost, loan terms include issuance of loans with Land Use Restriction under registry deed (Housing-Economic-Development, 2016). B. Participants are wanted have a healthy life due to the surroundings, this can be enabled through the pollution free environment. There will be no such sound pollution, the factory near or any other health giving hazardous. Therefore, schemes designed to fund more to a healthy community can be accomplished. If such funds are denied the participants may also suffer (Enterprise, 2016). C. Goals · The affordable, clean city for low-income people, · There will be housing opportunities without discrimination · The new city will allow low income to at least have a home. In order to meet these goals, there will be a proper assessment of every individual and organization connected through various ways (Box, 2016). D. All decisions will be made through the policy guidance registered with the government and to the organizations that provide funds for the project. These proposals are designed to address a need among a specific population or community. Developing an effective grant proposal requires content knowledge, writing proficiency, strong research skills, creativity, and organizational ability. It is also important to have a clear understanding of the project needs, goals and objectives, design, and your role for implementing the project. In this project, you will imagine that you have been hired in a leadership role for a nonprofit organization and are asked to develop a grant proposal that will identify a need among a specific population of people or
  • 8. members in a local community that lacks resources or services. You will approach this proposal by first identifying a problem or need among a specific population or members in a community that lack economic, financial, cultural, or social resources or services. Your grant proposal will focus on acquiring funding to achieve a desired outcome to resolve this need. You might address a lack of affordable housing or dependable child care; domestic violence; homelessness; lack of transportation in a rural area; or better paying jobs and job training. These are just a few examples as many other needs may also be appropriate. This assessment addresses the following course outcomes: lop problem or needs statements that clearly articulate population or community needs for the development of nonprofit project initiatives outcomes of a nonprofit organization’s grant initiatives over time potential in meeting and sustaining nonprofit organizations’ needs proposals that reflect ethical principles or practices project that responsibly utilizes grant funding The project is divided into two milestones, which will be
  • 9. submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules Two and Three. The final project is due in Module Seven. Prompt Your grant proposal should be addressed to one potential grant funder from whom you are seeking approval. The grant proposal should answer the following prompt: What project are you proposing to accomplish, and how would it impact the participants or community served? Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed in your proposal: I. Introduction In this section you will grab your potential funder’s attention by presenting the problem you have identified and how you intend to address it. A. Provide a brief, high-level overview of your proposal that addresses the purpose of the project, what you want to accomplish, how you want to impact participants, the role of key stakeholders and partners, and what specific changes you want to see in the people served and in the community. B. Evaluate the challenges faced by the participants in your proposal with respect to their associated need. This is not about
  • 10. listing as many challenges as you can but specific challenges these participants face and the need illustrated by these challenges. These challenges can either be economic, financial, cultural, or social. II. Goals and Objectives In this section you will choose a “starting point” for your participants. In grant proposals there must be a problem or need that you are trying to meet in the community and concrete facts and data that support that need. Where do you want your project to intervene on the issues to be addressed? Thinking about this will help you set realistic goals and objectives for the project. A. Develop a statement of the problem or need for your project, including justification of why the problem or need requires intervention. B. Evaluate the project’s strengths (things that will have a positive impact on the participants, i.e., those being benefited by the project) and weaknesses (things that may negatively impact the participants while involved in the project). C. What goals and objectives are appropriate to this project? How are they aligned to one another? For example, your goal might be to reduce unemployment in a low-income community. Your objective that aligns with this goal could be to create a job-training program to assist members in the low-income community in achieving gainful employment.
  • 11. D. What decisions will you make for this project based on ethical boundaries? Support your reasoning with examples of how you would increase safety for the participants in the projects. For example, one of the ethical principles to ensure safety of the participants might be to establish accountability in the project. III. Methods/Instruments In this section you will discuss the results you expect to see and explain how you will measure the progress and success of the project in relation to the goals and objectives. A. What are the expected results of this project specific to the goals and objectives you established? B. What type of data is necessary to determine whether you are meeting the project goals and objectives with respect to whether your participants or community improve over time? Is the data qualitative or quantitative in nature? C. What are the appropriate methods or instruments (e.g., survey, questionnaire, observation) that will facilitate the collection of this particular type of data? IV. Budget Strategies In this section you will develop a budget to responsibly implement the funding for your project. Consider every cost you will have to incur to implement your project. Examples of expenses include salaries, benefits,

You must include a realistic expense that breaks up your budget into different categories. A. Include an overall budget for your project that addresses key categories. (This will be your actual budget in a table or spreadsheet.) B. Provide a budget narrative in which you explain your budget in detail and justify the costs in each category in order to prove that you will responsibly manage the grant funds. (For example, in the personnel category, you may want to explain that you need a new administrative assistant to handle the amount of paperwork that will begin to pour in once the project is implemented. Your budget narrative should be concise and brief.) V. Funding Grants are often funded by more than one funding partner. While this proposal is addressed to just one potential funder, in this section you will outline all the potential funding sources that might fit the project to demonstrate to the funder that funding for the project is sustainable beyond what you will secure from this funder. Funders may include the federal government or public and private foundations.
  • 13. A. Describe the potential sources of funding you have found for your project. (Examples can include program support, seed money to start the project, or funding for operating expenses, research, emergency funds, or annual funds.) Justify why each might be a potential fit for meeting the organization’s needs. B. How you will establish relationships with the funders to obtain additional funding in the future? Justify your choices. For example, you may want to establish a relationship with funders by contacting them by phone or sending a letter to provide an update on the progress of the project and to solicit additional funding. Remember to always keep funders in the loop by offering information such as newsletters, annual reports, etc. to maintain a relationship with the funders. Milestones Milestone One: Statement of Need or Problem Paper In Module Two, you will submit a 2–3 page paper that identifies a need or problem faced by a population or community that you plan to address in your final project. The paper should identify the gaps in meeting the need and lack of available resources surrounding the population or community. This milestone will be graded with the Milestone One Rubric. Milestone Two: Methods and Instruments Paper In Module Three, you will research and write about the methods or instruments you will use for assessing the objectives, goals, and outcomes of your final

The 2–3 page paper should include participants, key personnel, data collection, and project timelines. This milestone will be graded with the Milestone Two Rubric. Final Project Rubric Guidelines for Submission: Your proposal must follow APA formatting guidelines in addition to the following: double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins. Page length requirements: 6–8 pages. Instructor Feedback: This activity uses an integrated rubric in Blackboard. Students can view instructor feedback in the Grade Center.
