2. In this establishing shot we are shown an image
of a skyline of London at night. This sets the
scene in England and creates a strong target
audience. The shot is dark and creates a
mysterious vibe. We are shown this from behind
a glass window possibly setting the scene for the
next shot.
The calm shot is interrupted by a loud stab sound
and an action sequence begins. The music is fast
paced and energetic. A man is thrown on the table
hinting at an action themed video. An alarm is
sounded in the background and this shows that there
is trouble of some kind.
3. This is the introduction of our first character and
the artist of the song. There is a titled graphic next
to her showing her name in the video and giving it
a cinematic feel. The style of the video is created
like a spy film and the artists apply make up to
show her relaxed calm character, implying she
has done this before. The close up markets the
artist and makes her centre stage.
Another artist is than shown and a title appears
next to her as well. The close up is replicated
showing that both characters might be of equal
importance. They seem to fight together and
this implies a mutual similarity. Both titles
showing their names are related to a danger of
some sort and this gives the characters move
edge.
4. In this shot the image of The tower of london is
shown and also the artist being thrown through a
window. The shot is in slow motion and we see
that there is a betrayal of some sort. There are
shares of glass being thrown and this reiterates
the danger aspect of the video.
We are finally shown the name of the sing and we
can also see the artist in the shot. This is a very
important shot because it markets the artists and
the song. The title is coloured red and this shows
connotations of anger and rage, as well as blood.
There are lines going through the graphic to show
some sort of destruction and damage. The artist
is lying on a car broken, following the scene
where she falls from a building. She looks
unharmed and this shows her in a good light.
5. Another artist is shown in this next shot, there
is a lot of bright lights and technological
elements. A Sy-fi genre is hinted at and we
can see this through the devices he is
surrounded by. The artist is narrating in this
shot which shows the video is mixed between
narration and performance.
The artist is shown wearing tight white
latex clothes. This shows her in a
seductive light and markets her for her
looks. The shot is very clean and white
manning up her body. It shows that she is
being altered of some kind after her
accident. This re enforces the Sci-fi
element.
6. This shot is a juxtaposition to the previous
one. The artist is now wearing black
clothes rather than white ones. The
costume she is wearing shows dark
elements and aspects of war and fighting
of some sorts due to the shoulder pads
and armour. She is also wearing black
eyeliner, this creates a new character and
shows her darker side.
The idea of her having an alter ego and a
darker side is re enforced here where she
is wearing a black suit and biking helmet.
The helmet if lined with red lights showing
an evil element.
7. Here another artist if shown. She is holding a
bazooka marked x. This shows the fighting
and weapon aspects. The weapon is marked
X and this shows or for shadows a fight to
come. The lights on the side of the gun re
load and this shows something being ignited.
She is also wearing a black costume showing
a dark personality.
This final shot reveals a huge explosion and
the cast a walking in front of it. This hugely
cinematic shot brings the video to a dramatic
finale, like a film. The london skyline is
contrasted with the opening scene. The cast
are wearing leather clothes and high heels
showing powerful female dominant cast.
They are carrying guns and weapons and
walking in slow motion.
