The art of writing is a complex and difficult process. Proper writing requires careful planning,
revision, and proofreading. Throughout the past semester, the quality of my writing has evolved
significantly. At first, I struggled with the separation of different types of paragraphs, and I found
writing them laborious. Constant practice, however, has eliminated many of my original difficulties,
and helped to inspire confidence in my skills. As a collegiate writer, my strength lies in my clear
understanding of the fundamentals of writing, while my primary weakness is proofreading my own
work. During the transition from a high school writer to a collegiate writer, my strength at
understanding the basic principles of...show more content...
Finding an introductory paragraph that hooks the reader can be troublesome, but throughout the
course, I have spent considerable time developing that technique. The body of my arguments
each exhibit strong support for the thesis. In addition, my conclusions summarize the papers
without restating unnecessary information. Overall, my comprehension of the basic format of an
argument has proved to be a valuable asset. The weakest portion of my writing is my lack of good
proofreading. All papers require a significant amount of proofreading not only for grammatical
errors, but also for structural problems. Proofreading my own work is difficult. Many times, I
wrongly assume that the reader is able to understand my thoughts, while the various points of my
argument are actually not expressed clearly. In some instances, I fail to catch obvious errors, such
as sentence fragments or contractions, which I should be able to eliminate easily from my
writing. Proofreading my own work has consistently been the most difficult part of my writing
process, and I continue to struggle with catching all of the errors in my papers. Analyzing my
strengths and weaknesses as a writer is extremely important. Despite the fact that I understand the
structure of a good argument, I still miss obvious errors in my papers because I lack the skills
necessary to properly proofread my own work. In the future, I plan on spending a large portion of

My Personal Identity Essay
A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests
and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some
factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a
person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture
may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and
sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a
person's taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set
individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more content...
Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends
I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music'
is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of
adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart
pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I
love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be
on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics
that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly
consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering
(especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is
measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very
strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that,
although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will
not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a
person's identity. I have not had too many educational

My Writing Essay
My Writing
In the past four years, I have written many papers for various classes, enjoying some and others
having to choke out words to write down. In this memo I will describe my writing projects and
how they made me become a better writer, and how they will continue to help develop me into a
becoming a more prosperous writer.
What I Really Learned in English 100
Well as a recent pupil of the Great McFadden I want to do all that I can to be on his good side, for he
said that if I go one mile to meet him, he will go two miles to meet me, which seems more that fair.
As an assignment I am told that I have to write what I learned in English 100 and how that it
prepared me for English 200. Well sincehonesty is the best way of...show more content...
Having taken many writing classes I have learned many things about writing. I enjoy writing and
can often write many pages about things that I am interested in. I know that I have more learning to
do about writing, and hopefully in the next couple weeks my knowledge of writing will have
expanded and my writing will have improved.
My Experience With Writing Arguments
I am unaware of any writing arguments. The only thing I can really think of is writing a research
paper with the intent to change people's minds on a certain subject. I remember researching for
weeks in the library, looking through magazine after magazine. I had searched for enough
information to write a ten–page paper. The writing process of the paper took several weeks but
when I had finished, all the hard work was worth the effort. I learned many things from that course
such as that you need to search for all the information you can because it is better to have too much
information than not enough. Also that course taught me many things about making references to
the authors of the articles I used for my paper. I remember writing out note card after note card and
keeping all the necessary information about each book or magazine. That course taught me to
become a better writer and to respect how much detail really goes into a research paper like I had
written. Other than that, I have not really had much experience in

Real Madrid Essay
Real Madrid Football Club I decided to type my essay about Real Madrid who was voted the most
successful club in the 20th century. This award doesn't come easy. Real Madrid has 31 La Liga
titles, 18 Spanish Cups, 8 Super Cups, 1 Cope Eva Duarte, 1 Cope del la Liga, a record 9 UEFA
Champion Leagues, 2 UEFA Cups, 1 UEFA Super Cup and 3 Intercontinental Cups. That's a lot to
bargain for. The name Real Madrid comes from real meaning "Royal" and Madrid being the city
in Spain they're franchise is at. This club was founded in 1902 and since then has never been
relegated from La Liga (the top league of soccer in Spain). But all these wins and cups can't come
without a rival. Real Madrid's most notable rival is Barcelona with matches between the...show more

He has the nickname "The Special One" because he is widely regarded as one of the best soccer
coaches in the game. He started out a player but was unable to produce a meaningful career so
that is when he looked into management. Since then, it seemed like it was his birth right; to
coach the game of soccer. In 2010, he was appointed to coach Real Madrid signing a four year
contract. Before then, he had won cups and titles such as Primeira Liga, Taca de Portugal and the
UEFA cup in 2003 with Porto. It couldn't get any better. His first honouring appearance with Real
Madrid is when he led his team to win the 2011 Copa Del Rey Final; it was the team's first victory
concerning that title since 1993. The club's first team squad at the moment is made up of a strong
role of defenders: Ricardo Carvalho, Pepe, Sergio Ramos (vice–captain), and Marcelo
(vice–captain). The team's mid–fielders are based off of: Nuri Sahin, Sami Khedira, Kaka, Mesut
Ozil and Esteban Granero. The first team's forwards are: Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
The last and certainly not least is the goal keeper who is too the captain of the team, Iker Casillas.
If you don't know soccer and what is good and what's not, let's just say this is a great first string
team. As of today, September 15th, 2011; Real Madrid is currently in first place playing two and

English 112 Week 1 Reflection
In this portfolio, I have included a variety of pieces that displays my strengths and weaknesses in
my work. As I come to the end of the semester and reflect on my work in your English 112 class, I
can see how I improved as a writer. English 112 has taught me many things and has helped me
develop more skills as a reader. I have completed several assignments this semester such as readings,
journals, multiple essays, and an oral presentation. My portfolio includes "All in the Family",
"Trapped Treasures", "A Student Is More Than a Number", a chosen revision of "Trapped
Treasures", my journals reflection, my personal essay reflections, my annotated bibliography, and

Type a Personality Essay
In this thesis I am going to write about my own personality and the associated traits which come
with my personality type. I'm going to consider if also if I'm type A, B, or C. also if I'm extrovert
or introvert, plus the traits which come in between those levels of personality. I also need to
consider if I have an abnormal personality and its origins i.e) psychodynamic, behavioural,
cognitive or humanistic. Personality A is a very strong and bold personality to own. This is
typically related to a person with a chronic sense of time and ergency, meaning where ever they go
they always need to be on time. A person that has an excessive competitive drive, and is very
aggressive and hostile towards others. This person is always setting...show more content...
I also see my self as very active and fit, plus the active side of me has always been part of my
lifestyle. The next trait that fits me too is sociable. This means, inclined to or conducive to
companionship with others. This fits me because with the right people I'm very sociable, talking
and joking with people I mainly know. But with like all people with the wrong company you
don't feel like associating with them mainly because of dislike or hatred. Outgoing is the next
trait, this means that you are very sociable and very confident, again I'm totally this, with the right
people, I have a very out going life which I use this trait every day at home and at college.
Talkative is another trait which matches my personality, this again means, full of trivial
conversation, this is me because I can talk even if there is no real subject on the conversation, this
is due to friends and family too, because there is never a quiet moment. Another trait is responsive,
this again means sensitive to influence or stimulus, this also can mean you can well adapt to what
happening around you, this is me because if the mood is down I can sense that and switch down a
level, or if I need to be in a such mood like sympathetic I can again switch to that too. This trait easy
going means that you are

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator Essay
The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) enables an individual to gain a deeper insight into their
inherent personality traits. For some people, they have had prior knowledge or underlying
assumptions about their personality, but this test provides clearer information about each of their
identifiable traits. According to the MBTI in Human–metric personality test, my scores were 22%
(E) extroverted thinking more than introverted, 9% (N) intuitive as oppose to sensing, 16% (T)
thinking more than feeling, and 12% (J) judging as compared to perceiving. Thus, my personality
type is ENFJ. The ENFJ personality group is described as a minority group that consists of
natural–born leaders, and people filled with passion, and charisma for example, Barack Obama and
Oprah Winfrey; they are notable members of this group, also known as the protagonists
(16personalities, 2016). The protagonists apprehend pride in providing guidance for others to
improve individually and to improve the community at large (16personalities, 2016). The
protagonists find it naturally easy to communicate with others and excel at communicating with
other people in person (16personalities, 2016). My ENFJ personality described as an extroverted
person in life. For instance, I enjoy getting involved in different activities and events which bring
out my energetic nature (16personalities, 2016). My preference is being around people and
interacting with them on a personal level as much as possible, and I

Transition To College
Do you wonder if you've improved from the transition from high school to college? I know I sure
have. When I was in junior high, I was the shy quiet type of person. During high school I started
talking to people more and more thanks to a special friend, but in high school I had nobody to give
me encouragement. I did not care; I was not planning to go to college, and I made lots of other
excuses. But now that I'm in college I feel I have accomplished so much thanks to the nice, kind,
and generous people I have met. My transition from high school to college has turned my life around.
In junior high school I was the quiet shy type of person. I would sit in the back of the classroom

In English I have learned how to write three different types of essays Narrative, argumentative,
expository. I have also learned how to type in MLA format and APA Style. I have learned how to
use words correctly. In math I have learned how to do proportions, integers, percentages, metric
system, and American units.
I have met such nice people in all my classes like Jeffery, Austin, Brittanie, Chris, Logan, Ariel,
Dave, and Kaitlyn. They have helped me with my homework and stuff. I have also met Jessie
AKA (The Man of the Hour) and Dreama. Even though I started out not being able to write a

have also met my counselor Danielle. She has helped me pick out the right times for the right
classes. Finally I met Jackie, Rachel and the other peer coaches and

My Experience To The Library
Experience at the Library
The library is a wonderful place to go to if you would like a quiet place to work. I like being at the
library because it is filled with knowledge, and there are many different books that interest me. I
enjoy going to the library because walking there clears my mind. Also, there are many books that are
available for the public to read and it is a quiet place to do work. To start, the walk to the library is
relaxing and peaceful. I decided to go to the library on September 21st for a college assignment.
While walking to the library I was intrigued by the many things that were going on around me. I
saw a mailman riding on a bicycle delivering mail which was something that I've never seen before.
Also, something that was very surprising to me was that there was a group of children running
behind an ice–cream truck which was a single block in front of me. I found this very amusing and I
continued to watch until they were out of sight. It made me think about when I was little and
what I used to do when I heard the ice cream truck come around my house. After walking for quite a
bit of time I began to feel tired and dehydrated. I began to wish I had chased after the ice cream
truck and got an ice cream to it, but it was gone already. I normally don't walk to the library so I
guess that was the reason I was so easily tired. I decided to buy a drink from the local corner store to
regain some of my energy. The library is home to knowledge which is why it

Essay on Writing Experience
My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the
basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things
like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the
future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers,
documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. I
predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college. Writing in the past started in
kindergarten. My teacher taught me how to write my name over and over until I could write it with
no errors. All through elementary my teachers taught me...show more content...
I need to learn to quit thinking as much on what I want to write about and how to write about a topic
and just starting jotting stuff down in outline form as it comes to mind. Run–ons and fragments I
need to be able to spot and fix right away or I really need to not have any in my papers at all. My
goals are to write papers and not have to reassure myself that maybe I need to do more research or
have more data or even have to rethink my whole topic over. I would love to have the knowledge
to be a tutor someday and teach other people how to properly write papers, paragraphs, essays,
and maybe even books. To have excellent skills in writing will definitely be a great advantage in
my nursing profession. In nursing, I will have to do lots of charting on my patients. I will have to
do health presentations on various subjects such as exercising, how our society eats, and sex
education if I want to be a course instructor. Researching information on all of those topics I will
have to make sure I do an excellent job on and collect accurate information and statistics so that I
can compare to other sources. Dictating to the doctor means that I will need to write properly so
that he understands what I am saying. Other nurses will have to be able to understand what I am
talking about by my writing skills when doing shift changes. I will have to be very precise so that
other nurses will not

Essay about My Communication Skills
My Communication Skills Improving my communication skills has been a work in progress
starting back in the early years of my life. I have always been my own worse critic. Usually beating
myself down through interpersonal communication. Now as an adult I have made great improvements
but still have trouble dealing with perception and self–image. Not being raised in an environment of
positive reinforcement and poor communication in the workplace I have made it a point to change
that trait in my own family and professional environment....show more content...
My goals for improving self–image are first to make the steps to be the person I want to be.
Whether it is through exercise or education myself to build up my intellectual strength. Making a
self–image inventory, noting those things that I like about myself. The make a list of the negative
traits that I want to improve. Changing my focus from negative to positive should help me avoid
being depressed. The best thing I can do I recognize my shortcomings but don't dwell on them. A
key characteristic in dire need of improvement would be my perception. I was raised in an
environment where stereotypes and first impressions were the norm. Expecting certain actions
from people based on what I've heard or seen in the past, not being empathetic in my views. In
circumstances like UOP, if a student does not interact or participate at the same level as myself,
they would be interpreted as being a procrastinator. I certainly have issues with trust, usually taking
a cautious approach to the team atmosphere in fear of not meeting the courses expectations. In the
last few classes I have posted questions and asked for feedback on peoples expectations in hopes that

My Experience In English Writing
English is a core concept in the Untied States and other countries that has allowed inviduals to
advance their knowledge. Not only does English provide an advancement in knowlege, but has
created a way for individuals to share their thoughts and feelings through writing. Which is why
English is one of the four subjects that is required to be taught in almost every school district in
America including mine. I began taking English from a young age which allowed me to take
advanced placement English IV my senior year at Tupelo High School. Advanced Placement English
IV allowed me to further my education in writing, which in return allowed me to overcome
obstacles, low points and discover strengths I never knew I had. Like any other thing in life there
are always obstacles individuals face everyday, for me in my English IV class writing was
something that was very challenging. The first challenge writing presented to me was trying to
organize all of my thoughts, so that it made sense. The first essay I ever wrote in my English class
was a journal entry about a memorable experience, so with that being said I decided I would write
about the experience I had while hunting with my Dad. The hunting experience with my dad had
many different parts, and one of my biggest challenges I had was organizing my thoughts, so that it
flowed correctly. Since I was telling a story within my journal I realized that I was jumping around
more then I should have and this became a problem. I learned

My Reading and Writing Experience over the Years
Literacy Narrative: My Reading and Writing Experience over the Years
I have never been the type of student who enjoyed reading or writing. I have always found it
difficult to express myself by writing narratives, book reports, and any other required assignment. I
am far more skilled at speaking or verbal expression in general as I have found over the years that
people tend to misunderstand my point if it is written.
When I sit to write, I have to think about what I want to say. This is not easy for me as I tend to
think about several things at once. Clearing my mind and focusing on the writing task is a challenge
in itself. I do not consider myself a strong writer and find it intimidating especially when I know it
will be critiqued. The sense of failure when seeing the paper I worked so hard on look like the
newest local headline of a recent murder is disheartening for me. I assume I am being overly
critical of myself but those feelings seem to be redeemed when I look over the aftermath of what
was my wonderful work of mental art.
The irony of all of this is I write many different things in my current job. One any given day I draft
contracts, amendments, and addendums to name a few. I have learned a great deal from my bosses
and mentors which has made me a better writer and more aware of my grammar and proofreading
of work. My Vice President is an attorney and English major with a keen ability to find the minutest
errors. I try to take any criticism

In chapter three of The Nuts and Bolts of College Writing, Michael Harvey focuses on flow. He
explains consistency of character usage in sentences, additionally with appropriate pronouns and
linking words. In sentences, pronouns should refer to their nouns in a neat fashion. This makes
passages easier to follow, preventing confusion from arising. Furthermore, characters should be used
consistently. The writer controls the flow from one character to another, and they should not be
jumbled. If there are several characters, the sequences should introduce each one methodically.
Punch lines are also important in combining sentences from a familiar start to new information.
Additionally, introductory prepositional phrases are recommended if the

Proofreading Analysis
Pity the oblivious Hamid, who sent a beautifully worded email to the Dean of his college signed:
"Best Retards, Ham." Hamid lives in the new world of smartphone autocorrection, where innocuous
messages can morph into embarrassing blunders, and the ancient practice of proofreading has long
since been forgotten. Unfortunately I, like Hamid, have been seduced by autocorrect's promise of
providing error–free writing without the bother of proofreading. However, Hamid's cringe–worthy
oversight forced me to reevaluate my relationship with autocorrect and similar word processing
programs. I have come to realize that when I am texting, tweeting, or using the Internet I typically do
not take the time to proofread my writing before hitting the "send"...show more content...
I learned how to cope without autocorrect because of the forced self– intervention I conducted;
however, what would happen if I restricted myself from using the computer to type my essays?
Without the aid of my computer's intelligence I would be left to my own devices, which is to say
I would have a thesaurus glued to the palm of my hand. On a larger scale I think this idea of
machine dependency is a modern phenomenon. The days of manual effort are long gone, with
machines replacing our need to do anything for ourselves. The only bit of information we need to
know is how to use the

My Love For English

To my seventh grade English teacher:
Thank you. At the time, I despised all the activities you made my class do. I despised the months
we spent going over commas. I despised the books we were forced to read. Little did I know how
many of these thing would be used in the future.
I am now an expert in the usage of the comma. Those months spent doing comma practices at the
start of the class finally paid off. I appreciate Shakespeare in a way I would never have if it wasn't
for you. I remember struggling through A Midsummer Night's Dream as the thought of giving up
swam through my head. At the end of the book, you had us divide into groups and act out scenes.
Surprisingly, I had a great deal of fun. Everyone went full out with costumes and props. I also
understand symbolism and have learned how to persevere through particularly mundane books.
We read Animal Farm in that class. The fact that a story about farm animals could stand for real
life effects blew my mind. Additionally, for every paper of mine you 'lost' and that I would later find
right where it was supposed to be, I learned to be more assertive.
My love for English stopped twirling in the breeze and, for the first time, began to flicker.

Reflection On My English 101 Experience
Reflecting on My English 101 Experience I used to consider writing as tumble words from your
mind, write, read it through, fix minor mistakes, and done. However, you rarely get successful. The
truth is many students, including myself, struggle with starting to write a word, or getting stuck in
the middle without knowing the main point of the writing. After completing English 101, I can
explain the writing process, evaluate the strengths of my essay, and identify my weaknesses.
Throughout English 101, I learned that the following the writing process was imperative. Before
taking this class, I use to always skip the pre–writing step considering that it is just an easy and
unnecessary step. Consequently, I struggled to figure how to start writing, and most importantly I
struggled to figure out the main point while writing the draft. And then I finish the first draft close to
the deadline that I do not have time to read it not to mention revising. It was after I started this class
that learned that pre–writing is vital, and requires time and attention as it holds the base of the
whole writing. My professor used different analogies such as blueprint for building and map for
navigation to explain the importance. It really speeded up my writing after I started to utilize it. I
have learned outlining before, but part of the pre–writing that I was fortunate enough to learning in
English 101 is the writing triangle. Even before outlining, the topic, purpose, and audience of the

Who Are You As A Writer? Essay
When presented with the question, "who are you as a writer?", I was speechless at first. But after
thinking about it, I realized who I am as a writer has been influenced by so many different
sponsors throughout my life and there was not a short, concrete answer. Brandt mentions that
"literacy is sponsored by people, institutions, and circumstances that both make it possible for a
person to become literate and shape the way the person actually acquires literacy." (Brandt 43)
My attitude towards writing has been influenced by teachers, both negatively and positively, by
my mother, and by academic assignments over the years. My answer to the question can only be
answered by a narrative of my writing life. I have convinced myself that I am a terrible writer,
and when presented with a writing assignment, I get anxious instantly. I see writing as a burden
and a huge obstacle that gets placed in my life. Academic writing is not fun, but something I
value due to the fact that we are a grade driven society. When writing, I write to the guidelines in
order to receive points for the requested criteria. The reason being, I gave up on expressing my
own ideas because I had been shut down by so many teachers throughout my education. I tried to
write down what came to my mind and put my own twist on things, but that was not the "right"
way to write papers. In order to make both my teachers and my grades happy, I wrote what they
wanted to hear, and even then I was not to the level they

Where Can I Type My Essay

  • 1. The art of writing is a complex and difficult process. Proper writing requires careful planning, revision, and proofreading. Throughout the past semester, the quality of my writing has evolved significantly. At first, I struggled with the separation of different types of paragraphs, and I found writing them laborious. Constant practice, however, has eliminated many of my original difficulties, and helped to inspire confidence in my skills. As a collegiate writer, my strength lies in my clear understanding of the fundamentals of writing, while my primary weakness is proofreading my own work. During the transition from a high school writer to a collegiate writer, my strength at understanding the basic principles of...show more content... Finding an introductory paragraph that hooks the reader can be troublesome, but throughout the course, I have spent considerable time developing that technique. The body of my arguments each exhibit strong support for the thesis. In addition, my conclusions summarize the papers without restating unnecessary information. Overall, my comprehension of the basic format of an argument has proved to be a valuable asset. The weakest portion of my writing is my lack of good proofreading. All papers require a significant amount of proofreading not only for grammatical errors, but also for structural problems. Proofreading my own work is difficult. Many times, I wrongly assume that the reader is able to understand my thoughts, while the various points of my argument are actually not expressed clearly. In some instances, I fail to catch obvious errors, such as sentence fragments or contractions, which I should be able to eliminate easily from my writing. Proofreading my own work has consistently been the most difficult part of my writing process, and I continue to struggle with catching all of the errors in my papers. Analyzing my strengths and weaknesses as a writer is extremely important. Despite the fact that I understand the structure of a good argument, I still miss obvious errors in my papers because I lack the skills necessary to properly proofread my own work. In the future, I plan on spending a large portion of my time Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Personal Identity Essay A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a person's taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more content... Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music' is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that, although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a person's identity. I have not had too many educational Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Writing Essay My Writing In the past four years, I have written many papers for various classes, enjoying some and others having to choke out words to write down. In this memo I will describe my writing projects and how they made me become a better writer, and how they will continue to help develop me into a becoming a more prosperous writer. What I Really Learned in English 100 Well as a recent pupil of the Great McFadden I want to do all that I can to be on his good side, for he said that if I go one mile to meet him, he will go two miles to meet me, which seems more that fair. As an assignment I am told that I have to write what I learned in English 100 and how that it prepared me for English 200. Well sincehonesty is the best way of...show more content... Having taken many writing classes I have learned many things about writing. I enjoy writing and can often write many pages about things that I am interested in. I know that I have more learning to do about writing, and hopefully in the next couple weeks my knowledge of writing will have expanded and my writing will have improved. My Experience With Writing Arguments I am unaware of any writing arguments. The only thing I can really think of is writing a research paper with the intent to change people's minds on a certain subject. I remember researching for weeks in the library, looking through magazine after magazine. I had searched for enough information to write a ten–page paper. The writing process of the paper took several weeks but when I had finished, all the hard work was worth the effort. I learned many things from that course such as that you need to search for all the information you can because it is better to have too much information than not enough. Also that course taught me many things about making references to the authors of the articles I used for my paper. I remember writing out note card after note card and keeping all the necessary information about each book or magazine. That course taught me to become a better writer and to respect how much detail really goes into a research paper like I had written. Other than that, I have not really had much experience in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Real Madrid Essay Real Madrid Football Club I decided to type my essay about Real Madrid who was voted the most successful club in the 20th century. This award doesn't come easy. Real Madrid has 31 La Liga titles, 18 Spanish Cups, 8 Super Cups, 1 Cope Eva Duarte, 1 Cope del la Liga, a record 9 UEFA Champion Leagues, 2 UEFA Cups, 1 UEFA Super Cup and 3 Intercontinental Cups. That's a lot to bargain for. The name Real Madrid comes from real meaning "Royal" and Madrid being the city in Spain they're franchise is at. This club was founded in 1902 and since then has never been relegated from La Liga (the top league of soccer in Spain). But all these wins and cups can't come without a rival. Real Madrid's most notable rival is Barcelona with matches between the...show more content... He has the nickname "The Special One" because he is widely regarded as one of the best soccer coaches in the game. He started out a player but was unable to produce a meaningful career so that is when he looked into management. Since then, it seemed like it was his birth right; to coach the game of soccer. In 2010, he was appointed to coach Real Madrid signing a four year contract. Before then, he had won cups and titles such as Primeira Liga, Taca de Portugal and the UEFA cup in 2003 with Porto. It couldn't get any better. His first honouring appearance with Real Madrid is when he led his team to win the 2011 Copa Del Rey Final; it was the team's first victory concerning that title since 1993. The club's first team squad at the moment is made up of a strong role of defenders: Ricardo Carvalho, Pepe, Sergio Ramos (vice–captain), and Marcelo (vice–captain). The team's mid–fielders are based off of: Nuri Sahin, Sami Khedira, Kaka, Mesut Ozil and Esteban Granero. The first team's forwards are: Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. The last and certainly not least is the goal keeper who is too the captain of the team, Iker Casillas. If you don't know soccer and what is good and what's not, let's just say this is a great first string team. As of today, September 15th, 2011; Real Madrid is currently in first place playing two and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

As I come to the end of the semester and reflect on my work in your English 112 class, I can see how I improved as a writer. English 112 has taught me many things and has helped me develop more skills as a reader. • 6. Type a Personality Essay In this thesis I am going to write about my own personality and the associated traits which come with my personality type. I'm going to consider if also if I'm type A, B, or C. also if I'm extrovert or introvert, plus the traits which come in between those levels of personality. I also need to consider if I have an abnormal personality and its origins i.e) psychodynamic, behavioural, cognitive or humanistic. Personality A is a very strong and bold personality to own. This is typically related to a person with a chronic sense of time and ergency, meaning where ever they go they always need to be on time. I also see my self as very active and fit, plus the active side of me has always been part of my lifestyle. The next trait that fits me too is sociable. This means, inclined to or conducive to companionship with others. This fits me because with the right people I'm very sociable, talking and joking with people I mainly know. But with like all people with the wrong company you don't feel like associating with them mainly because of dislike or hatred. Outgoing is the next trait, this means that you are very sociable and very confident, again I'm totally this, with the right people, I have a very out going life which I use this trait every day at home and at college. Talkative is another trait which matches my personality, this again means, full of trivial conversation, this is me because I can talk even if there is no real subject on the conversation, this is due to friends and family too, because there is never a quiet moment. Another trait is responsive, this again means sensitive to influence or stimulus, this also can mean you can well adapt to what happening around you, this is me because if the mood is down I can sense that and switch down a level, or if I need to be in a such mood like sympathetic I can again switch to that too. • 7. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator Essay The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) enables an individual to gain a deeper insight into their inherent personality traits. For some people, they have had prior knowledge or underlying assumptions about their personality, but this test provides clearer information about each of their identifiable traits. According to the MBTI in Human–metric personality test, my scores were 22% (E) extroverted thinking more than introverted, 9% (N) intuitive as oppose to sensing, 16% (T) thinking more than feeling, and 12% (J) judging as compared to perceiving. Thus, my personality type is ENFJ. The ENFJ personality group is described as a minority group that consists of natural–born leaders, and people filled with passion, and charisma for example, Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey; they are notable members of this group, also known as the protagonists (16personalities, 2016). The protagonists apprehend pride in providing guidance for others to improve individually and to improve the community at large (16personalities, 2016). The protagonists find it naturally easy to communicate with others and excel at communicating with other people in person (16personalities, 2016). My ENFJ personality described as an extroverted person in life. For instance, I enjoy getting involved in different activities and events which bring out my energetic nature (16personalities, 2016). My preference is being around people and interacting with them on a personal level as much as possible, and I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Transition To College Do you wonder if you've improved from the transition from high school to college? I know I sure have. When I was in junior high, I was the shy quiet type of person. During high school I started talking to people more and more thanks to a special friend, but in high school I had nobody to give me encouragement. I did not care; I was not planning to go to college, and I made lots of other excuses. But now that I'm in college I feel I have accomplished so much thanks to the nice, kind, and generous people I have met. My transition from high school to college has turned my life around. • 9. My Experience To The Library Experience at the Library The library is a wonderful place to go to if you would like a quiet place to work. I like being at the library because it is filled with knowledge, and there are many different books that interest me. I enjoy going to the library because walking there clears my mind. Also, there are many books that are available for the public to read and it is a quiet place to do work. To start, the walk to the library is relaxing and peaceful. I decided to go to the library on September 21st for a college assignment. While walking to the library I was intrigued by the many things that were going on around me. I saw a mailman riding on a bicycle delivering mail which was something that I've never seen before. Also, something that was very surprising to me was that there was a group of children running behind an ice–cream truck which was a single block in front of me. I found this very amusing and I continued to watch until they were out of sight. It made me think about when I was little and what I used to do when I heard the ice cream truck come around my house. After walking for quite a bit of time I began to feel tired and dehydrated. I began to wish I had chased after the ice cream truck and got an ice cream to it, but it was gone already. I normally don't walk to the library so I guess that was the reason I was so easily tired. I decided to buy a drink from the local corner store to regain some of my energy. The library is home to knowledge which is why it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Essay on Writing Experience My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers, documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. I predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college. Writing in the past started in kindergarten. My goals are to write papers and not have to reassure myself that maybe I need to do more research or have more data or even have to rethink my whole topic over. I would love to have the knowledge to be a tutor someday and teach other people how to properly write papers, paragraphs, essays, and maybe even books. To have excellent skills in writing will definitely be a great advantage in my nursing profession. In nursing, I will have to do lots of charting on my patients. I will have to do health presentations on various subjects such as exercising, how our society eats, and sex education if I want to be a course instructor. Researching information on all of those topics I will have to make sure I do an excellent job on and collect accurate information and statistics so that I can compare to other sources. • 11. Essay about My Communication Skills My Communication Skills Improving my communication skills has been a work in progress starting back in the early years of my life. I have always been my own worse critic. Usually beating myself down through interpersonal communication. Now as an adult I have made great improvements but still have trouble dealing with perception and self–image. Not being raised in an environment of positive reinforcement and poor communication in the workplace I have made it a point to change that trait in my own family and professional environment....show more content... My goals for improving self–image are first to make the steps to be the person I want to be. Whether it is through exercise or education myself to build up my intellectual strength. Making a self–image inventory, noting those things that I like about myself. The make a list of the negative traits that I want to improve. Changing my focus from negative to positive should help me avoid being depressed. The best thing I can do I recognize my shortcomings but don't dwell on them. A key characteristic in dire need of improvement would be my perception. I was raised in an environment where stereotypes and first impressions were the norm. Expecting certain actions from people based on what I've heard or seen in the past, not being empathetic in my views. In circumstances like UOP, if a student does not interact or participate at the same level as myself, they would be interpreted as being a procrastinator. I certainly have issues with trust, usually taking a cautious approach to the team atmosphere in fear of not meeting the courses expectations. In the last few classes I have posted questions and asked for feedback on peoples expectations in hopes that I can be more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. My Experience In English Writing English is a core concept in the Untied States and other countries that has allowed inviduals to advance their knowledge. Not only does English provide an advancement in knowlege, but has created a way for individuals to share their thoughts and feelings through writing. Which is why English is one of the four subjects that is required to be taught in almost every school district in America including mine. I began taking English from a young age which allowed me to take advanced placement English IV my senior year at Tupelo High School. Advanced Placement English IV allowed me to further my education in writing, which in return allowed me to overcome obstacles, low points and discover strengths I never knew I had. Like any other thing in life there are always obstacles individuals face everyday, for me in my English IV class writing was something that was very challenging. The first challenge writing presented to me was trying to organize all of my thoughts, so that it made sense. The first essay I ever wrote in my English class was a journal entry about a memorable experience, so with that being said I decided I would write about the experience I had while hunting with my Dad. The hunting experience with my dad had many different parts, and one of my biggest challenges I had was organizing my thoughts, so that it flowed correctly. Since I was telling a story within my journal I realized that I was jumping around more then I should have and this became a problem. I learned Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Reading and Writing Experience over the Years Literacy Narrative: My Reading and Writing Experience over the Years I have never been the type of student who enjoyed reading or writing. I have always found it difficult to express myself by writing narratives, book reports, and any other required assignment. I am far more skilled at speaking or verbal expression in general as I have found over the years that people tend to misunderstand my point if it is written. When I sit to write, I have to think about what I want to say. This is not easy for me as I tend to think about several things at once. Clearing my mind and focusing on the writing task is a challenge in itself. I do not consider myself a strong writer and find it intimidating especially when I know it will be critiqued. The sense of failure when seeing the paper I worked so hard on look like the newest local headline of a recent murder is disheartening for me. I assume I am being overly critical of myself but those feelings seem to be redeemed when I look over the aftermath of what was my wonderful work of mental art. The irony of all of this is I write many different things in my current job. One any given day I draft contracts, amendments, and addendums to name a few. I have learned a great deal from my bosses and mentors which has made me a better writer and more aware of my grammar and proofreading of work. My Vice President is an attorney and English major with a keen ability to find the minutest errors. I try to take any criticism Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 15. In chapter three of The Nuts and Bolts of College Writing, Michael Harvey focuses on flow. He explains consistency of character usage in sentences, additionally with appropriate pronouns and linking words. In sentences, pronouns should refer to their nouns in a neat fashion. This makes passages easier to follow, preventing confusion from arising. Furthermore, characters should be used consistently. The writer controls the flow from one character to another, and they should not be jumbled. If there are several characters, the sequences should introduce each one methodically. Punch lines are also important in combining sentences from a familiar start to new information. Additionally, introductory prepositional phrases are recommended if the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Hamid lives in the new world of smartphone autocorrection, where innocuous messages can morph into embarrassing blunders, and the ancient practice of proofreading has long since been forgotten. Unfortunately I, like Hamid, have been seduced by autocorrect's promise of providing error–free writing without the bother of proofreading. However, Hamid's cringe–worthy oversight forced me to reevaluate my relationship with autocorrect and similar word processing programs. I have come to realize that when I am texting, tweeting, or using the Internet I typically do not take the time to proofread my writing before hitting the "send"...show more content... Without the aid of my computer's intelligence I would be left to my own devices, which is to say I would have a thesaurus glued to the palm of my hand. It had always been a flame burning within me, something that could never be completely distinguished. I've had my share of both good and bad English teachers, from both I have gained important To my seventh grade English teacher: Thank you. At the time, I despised all the activities you made my class do. I despised the months we spent going over commas. I despised the books we were forced to read. Little did I know how many of these thing would be used in the future. I am now an expert in the usage of the comma. Those months spent doing comma practices at the start of the class finally paid off. I appreciate Shakespeare in a way I would never have if it wasn't for you. I remember struggling through A Midsummer Night's Dream as the thought of giving up swam through my head. At the end of the book, you had us divide into groups and act out scenes. Surprisingly, I had a great deal of fun. Everyone went full out with costumes and props. I also understand symbolism and have learned how to persevere through particularly mundane books. We read Animal Farm in that class. The fact that a story about farm animals could stand for real life effects blew my mind. Additionally, for every paper of mine you 'lost' and that I would later find right where it was supposed to be, I learned to be more assertive.
