The Supporting People era is coming to an end. Does this mean the end of housing related support? Or can we learn from philosophers and the humble home PC.....understand what the real value of HRS is and integrate it with other services solve real problems, take out cost and start a new era of effective preventative services? And what if the principles of HRS were applied to social housing more widely? Could we start a different relationship? One focussed on where people want to get to; what skills and talents they have; how we might help them start their journey? Far from a time of scarcity could we be on the cusp of a new abundance as we start to recognise people as assets and not a list of needs and deficits?
