UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY
Advancement Board Meeting - April 10, 2015
The following traits have influenced our company’s ethos and continue guiding our daily
practice and disposition towards our clients. We stand firm by each as we continue to
elevate our brand and our commitment to the delivery of exceptional results in the
services we provide:
1. GOALS & OUTCOMES
We see ourselves as a results-oriented team of professionals centered on demonstrating proficiency in what we
set ourselves to accomplish with our clients. Our design process and project delivery systems are accompanied by
a well-defined and transparent management style supported by strategies and set of skills relevant to today’s
landscape design and planning challenges. Our ultimate objective is to ensure our outcomes satisfy project
requirements, follow design intent, and perform as expected
2. COLLABORATION
We promote the idea of collaboration & constructive dialogue in our interactions with other disciplines and look for
opportunities to continually bring added value to the projects set before us
3. INGENUITY
Within our studio-culture we look for instances to contribute with ideas that demonstrate innovation, creativity,
originality and resourcefulness in order to foster the advancement of our professional goals, those set for every
project and ultimately affect in a meaningful way the ultimate end-users.
4. SYNTHESIS
Our planning & design approach embraces the idea of gathering and integrating the technical, scientific and
aesthetic dimensions found in landscape architecture into a unified whole.
5. SCIENCE
We at SBD-studio Understand and take advantage of the potential and benefits of technology and of how it
interacts with people, materials and in building systems that bring us closer to interacting, planning and designing
the landscape
6. STEWARDSHIP
Responding to known and potential social and environmental impact by providing design solutions that are resilient
and minimize harm, discomfort and waste
7. HUMAN EXPERIENCE
We look for those instances and opportunities to demonstrate our abilities to design landscape solutions that
positively affect and transform our communities
