to our Division Education Program Supervisor in

Program Management Team, to sir Patrick Jay Veril and
Michael Lacson, TCS Representatives, my fellow
Teacher Participants, and dear student Participants,
good morning.
Life is all about accepting the challenges along the
way, choosing to keep moving forward and savoring the
journey. Before this workshop started, knowing that my
name is on the list of teacher participants, I didn’t have
any idea what is this all about. Maybe, my fellow teacher
participants would agree that we are all like bottles,
right? Bottles with different amount of liquid inside, some
bottles are empty, some bottles are half or almost full.
However, despite the differences, we all have one
common goal, and that is to learn. We are all here with
an open heart, mind and will to learn new things that we
will able to apply in our lives.
The world we live in is a result of constant change.
What might be there one day is never there the next.
2. The students before are not the same today, as we
teachers. The changes that we have all bearded witness
to represent a significant period in our lives. For myself,
these changes have been technology in their nature.
From that realization, I’ve learned that this
unprecedented event has changed the world and has
brought it into a new era. Today Information and
Communication Technologies are the one thing and so
the repertoire of technologies expand further to
encompass computer and computer-related products,
software, applications and other platforms of
communication.
Now this coping up with the demands of time in
education not just assume an imperative part in a
student’s scholastic development yet perceive the
youngster’s subjective, social, and enthusiastic
advancement essentially. But more than that of the
students are us, teachers-our need for growth when it
comes to incorporating the use of technology in our
lives.
No matter how we perceive its presence, there is no
denying that nowadays, technology especially for the
new context of learning is an important part of our lives
and that is here to stay. The challenge for us teachers,
“How ready are we?”
3. Well, the certain answer to that question is right in
front of us now. I believe that this 5-day Division
Workshop on GoIT Program Implementation for Pilot
Schools will certainly keep us going.
With the help of our Almighty God, with my fellow
Teacher Participants, I, JOHNRY GUZON
COLMENARES, of Hinigaran National High School, say
“CHALLENGE ACCEPTED”.
With the acceptance comes the acknowledgement
that we may not have been perfect with what we know
and what we can share, in all aspects but then again,
our imperfections will open avenues for reflection and
improvement. What we must do is to recognize that
courage is required to go one’s own way, that mistakes
are inevitable, and that the outcome is authenticity. That
we must accept every possibility. That is how each of us
proceed, when we do what we can with what we have in
order to live our lives fully.
Once again, good morning and God bless us all.
