To whom it may concern,

Joanna Gammon exemplifies all attributes of an authentic leader. Consideration,
commitment, motivation and the ability to share her passion for what she does with
others. Over the past year and half I have been privileged to work with her as a
staff liaison to the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce’s young professional group,
Engage Charlotte.

Of all aforementioned attributes the one that strikes me as most compelling is the
ability to engage and collaborate with people of various age ranges, job types and
affinities. Recommended as a committee volunteer by her COO and a year later
nominated by her peers to a board position; Joanna is now chairing a committee
into success within its first year of conception. The External Relations Committee
under Joanna’s leadership has formed partnerships with several influential young
professional groups in Charlotte and has increased awareness of our organization in
the community. She has reached out to, nurtured relationships with and dedicated
many hours to forming connections with both people outside our organization and
with her committee volunteers. She communicates effectively and her actions
follow suite with what she says. Her ability to connect with people is admirable.

A pleasure to work with, Joanna is a great addition to Engage Charlotte and I know
she will be to many more organization to come.

Sincerely,

Julia Walton
