communicate, and usually cannot control movement.
This stage is where the caregiver must provide total assistance for the
person in all aspects of activities of daily living.
Their senses are still very much intact. They can see what is in front of
them. They can hear what you say. They can feel it when you touch them.
We have found that most people enjoy music, and gentle touch.

Delirium is a medical emergency. It is a sudden onset of confusion. It can
impair thinking, judgment, reasoning, and can affect a person’s level of
consciousness. Delirium can occur in people with Dementia, and also can
occur in people who do not have dementia, but who have perhaps
undergone a medical procedure or trauma. It can also be caused by
medications, illness, or intoxication. Please note differences below:
