2. • Before I started the MCBS Program I was a student at
the University of Florida. Since I was a small child I had
always been a gator fan so attending UF was a goal I
always kept in the back of my mind.
3. • I had always thought I wanted to go for the degree
with the highest paying job and thought of fun as an
after work activity. After completing my associates
degree I decided that the career path I was on was not
one that I would enjoy doing for the rest of my life.
4. • I applied to UF with a major in advertising after
researching my options, and what I could enjoy doing.
After attending a few semesters at UF I realized
something that would impact my life at the time in a
pretty major way, UF’s program was not for me.
5. • The typical university setup is for young adults fresh
out of their parents care as a transition into fullfledged adult life. Since I had already served in the US
Army and been on my own this was not something I
needed to experience again from the beginning.
6. • Because of that, I decided to look at Full Sail as a
possibility and checked them out online. After
speaking with my cousin, another Full Sail student, I
decided to make the transfer to the MCBS program
believing it would be a better fit.
7. • Since I transferred, I have been happy with my choice
and experienced very few “what if” moments. Ever
since I decided to pursue my passion for media and
using my mind creatively, I have enjoyed my studies
much more.
