7. MEGA INTEGRATED TEXTILE PARK
 Merging the Scheme for Integrated Textile Park (SITP) and Integrated
Processing Development Scheme (IPDS) , Union Govt of India, in 2021 budget,
announced 7 Mega Integrated Textile and Apparel Zone to be developed across
India.
 Tamilnadu has huge potential for establishing atleast 2 Project at appropriate
location.
 The aim of the Scheme is to encourage groups of entrepreneurs to come together
and establish Integrated Textile Parks (ITP’s) with world-class Manufacturing and
Critical infrastructure and Common Amenities.
 GoI will provide 40% of project cost not exceeding Rs. 400 Cr as grant/equity-
improving viability and need based
 State government as facilitator will provide 25% of the project cost not exceeding
Rs 25 crores and required Statutory Clearances in Single Window

8. The Main objective of the Project
“MAKING TAMILNADU – NUMBER ONE STATE IN TEXTILE SECTOR FOR
INVESTMENT AS WELL AS THE BEST DESTINATION FOR GLOBAL SOURCING”.
Creating an international Standard Manufacturing Infrastructure with required
Common facilities to enable entrepreneurs of the Textile Industries to compete
globally in a sustainable manner.

10. MEGA INTEGRATED TEXTILE PARK
LAND REQUIRED : 1000 ACRES
PROJECT COST : Rs 1000 Crores
Preferable Location : Between Tuticorin and T’nelveli. If the Location has both seaport
and Airport , The Park can attract Manufacturing & Export Units from other states and
other Countries.
Means of Finance for Project cost of Rs 1670 crore
Govt of India : 30% - Rs 500 Cr
Govt of Tamilnadu : 19% - Rs 416 Cr
Investors / Promoter’s margin 45 % - Rs 750 Cr
Socio Economic Benefits:
The Park will have 2,00,000 Direct Employment
The Turnover of the Park will be at Rs 30,000 Cr Turnover.
The quantum of State GST from the park after Holiday period of 5 years,
will be Minimum Rs 500 Cr per year.
An affordable Township for 50,000 Families can be established in the Periphery of the
Park.

11. Common Features:
 The park will provide required Basic Infrastructure Like Water & Power at Nominal
cost.
 Facilities Like ESI Hospital, R & D, HRD, Skill Development, Design Studio will be inbuilt.
 Trade Related benefits Like ESI, PF, Taxes and Duties reduction.
 Finance Related assistance Like Bank Loan assistance, Interest Subsidy or Subvention
 Environmental Related support Like plug and play model ETP & CETP, Waste / Reject
Management)
 All Statutory Clearances Single Window with special Nodal Officers for the Project at
IAS level.
