When I President of the Residence Hall Association at North Carolina Central University, there was a student that was transitioning from a male to

Have you ever spent a week at a college band camp? Unfortunately, it does not resemble the iconic scene from the classic film, American Pie. This
narrative depicts why I decided to attend Southwestern rather than other colleges such as Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma, and
Wichita State University. My fellow band friends and I took a three hour journey to Weatherford from Blackwell to attend the Southwestern Band
Camp for four days. As soon as we reached our destination, I realized that this was where I wanted to be. When I stepped out of the cramped car, a cool
breeze blew across my face. On this ninety–four degree mid–summer day, band kids were walking aimlessly trying to find the correct building to go to.

As the forty–three year old working mom sat down, she is calm, yet there is a vibe of nervousness. The restaurant is quiet, excluding the older women
in the back. When the interview starts it is very quiet and awkward, but once she starts to give more and more information about the process of college
and the obstacles she overcame, the interview flows naturally.
There are many forms of a college experience, there is not caring, there is learning, and there is having fun. Tracy Zalud, current third grade teacher,
had a mixture of all of those during her years of attending Illinois State University. Before Tracy chooses to go to Illinois State, her main option is
Northern Illinois University. When she gets the make it or break it letter back from Northern, it does not bring back good news. As the question
about being accepted or not comes up, there is a slight disappointment in her eyes. She answers to a firm "No." Then she continues to say, "I
wanted to go to NIU more than ISU because I had a boyfriend that went there, but I didn't get accepted there, so ISU was my only choice." After

students, this question is followed by the answer "I have no idea." There are so many decisions that will change their entire life. They not only

Klyukovski, I pondered how my institution dealt with diversity. He proposed examining Truman's vision statement to understand what the
institution will do when issues of diversity arise. After conducting some preliminary research on vision statements and generic criticism, I knew
