2. MUD
The day which we filmed, it had been raining the previous day,
so there were a few large patches of mud on our location. This is
dangerous as somebody could fall or slip into the mud and
could hurt themselves.
The risk of this is medium
To prevent this from happening, we would have to put the
tripod and the characters away from the patches and film of
dryer spots.
The risk has decreased to low risk
3. TREE BRANCHES
As the location was surrounded by trees, there were a few
branches sticking out. Somebody could walk into the branches
and it could poke them in the face.
The risk of this is medium
To prevent this from happening, we would have to warn our
actors of the branches sticking out, and stay in the centre of the
wood alley way so there are no branches around.
The risk has decreased to low risk
4. LEAVES
As it had been raining and it is Autumn, there are lots of leaves that
have fallen from the trees and they have got wet from the rain. The wet
leaves on the ground have made the surface very slippery to the actors
to walk and tred on. This can cause people to slip.
The risk of this is high
To stop this, we would have to warn our actors of this and make sure
they are wearing suitable footwear. We could also pick the leaves up
and clear the area where the actor will stand so that they do not slip.
By doing this, the risk level will be medium
5. STAIRS
The brick wall is by the stairs, therefore standing there can be
dangerous as somebody could easily fall down the stairs.
The risk level of this is very high
To prevent this from happening, we would warn the actors to be
careful and also make sure that somebody could stand near the
bottom to catch them in case they do fall.
The risk level will still be high but
it has still lowered
6. BROKEN GLASS
We found a lot of broken glass and bottles on
the floor when we were filming. This is a risk as
somebody could cut themselves by an accident
and injure themselves.
This risk of this is a high risk
By avoiding somebody from injuring
themselves, we have to warn our actors that
there is broken glass in the area and that they
should be careful.
This is still high but it has lowered
7. DRUNKEN PEOPLE ON THE STREET
As we went on a Friday, as it got into the evening there began to show
signs of dangerous night life such as drunken people walking around.
This was dangerous as they could easily come up to us in the street.
This is a high risk
Obviously the night life could not be helped but to avoid being involved
we would have to stay out of the way and not bring attention to
ourselves. If this did not work, we could have moved somewhere else
and go back to that location later on.
The risk of this is still quite high, but not as risky
8. CARS
Although we decided to use an empty car park
as we believed this looked a lot more
effective, there are still chances of cars driving
around. Somebody could get run over if they
are not careful.
The risk of this is medium/low
To avoid this from happening, we would have
to keep our eyes open to make sure there are no
cars about. As the level we were on is very
empty, our view was very clear to see any cars
about.
The risk has now gone down to low
9. WORKERS
Whilst we were filming, there were workers nearby fixing a section of
the car park. This is a risk as they had large machinery that could be
harmful.
This risk of this is low
10. BRIDGE
As we filmed one of the London Eye shots
from a bridge over the River Thames, there
was a possibility of somebody or the camera
falling into the water.
The risk of this is low
To prevent this from happening, we would
have to stand back away from the edge and
make sure that this does not happen.
This risk has lowered further
11. PASSING TRAINS
As we were going to include shots of passing trains in the
underground station, we realised that this could be dangerous as
somebody could fall onto the tracks, this is especially dangerous as
London is very busy and this includes a lot of pushing and crowds
which makes it more likely
The risk of this is medium
To prevent this from happening, we would have to stand behind
yellow line on the platform to ensure our safety
The risk of this now low
12. We filmed Sarah against a white background. This was for a
performance side to the music video. We asked her to sit on a table so
that she was the right height to film, however there is a risk of her
falling off the table if she becomes unsteady.
The risk of this is low
To prevent this from happening we would have to make sure that the
table is completely stable and make sure Sarah is not sitting by the
edge because this could un-balance it.
The risk of this has lowered further
